Another loss of 3-1 with arsenal sees the champions in fourth place with only 31 points behind Manchester city.
I have got two questions to ask 1-what is going wrong with the team of such caliber?
2 Can Chelsea put this all behind and win their next match with Bolton?

Something is definitely not right with the Blues. They defense is not as tough as they used to be. They strikers is not scoring enough goals. The other problems is the average age of the team. The core of the team, Terry, Lampard, Drogba, they are in their thirties and they is no replacement for them.

Chelsea are really on the downward spiral. If they do not win tomorrow, then they end the year out of the top four. Looks like the Ancelotti effect has worn off. I think they are now really stretched in the midfield and their bench strength is really thin.
That is really hurting them. I think they will be in the transfer shop in Jan and will beef that midfield up.
Cheers!

Hi a98231,
curioua name.
I am sad to hear that Chelsea loss again, probably loss the chance of acquiring the Primer Leagus Champion. At the beginnig of season, Chelsea perform very well and was on the top for long time. But currently, Chelsea lost several games. Same question like you bring forward. What is going wrong. In fact, i had analysize this question priviously. several reasons contribute to this. today, i put forward the most influential contribution. Chelsea have decreased investment on stars transferring in. In the last season, Chelsea sold out several players, but did not transfer in valuable players. The basic reason is that abramovich do not put many money on Chelsea any more.
Hopefully, in the following games, Chelsea could perform well, as i am big fan of Chelsea.

The question number 1 is I think because of Lampard's or Terry's injury. For number 2, I am sure they can win against Bolton. But, if it is not, Ancellotti will be sacked soon.
