Fixing Sticky Unscrollable Blackberry Trackball Without Disassembling

I have blackberry 9000 bold and it is irritating when my blackberry trackball gets sticky and wont let me scroll down. There is no other way to scroll down by using the thumb board. When i took it back to a local store where i bought it 6 months ago, they said that the trackball is not covered by warranty and they can replace the trackball for some money but will of course void the phone warranty. I'm really confused until I find a way to fix my sticky blackberry trackball without disassembling. This trick uses only a plastic straw and is called Strawberry trick.
