Pregnancy is a happy occasion

When pregnant having an ultrasound is a very exciting experience and the thermal black and white pictures can be treasured. I so wish that the womb had a transparent window then the lady could see her baby. When I am pregnant and I feel my baby kick these are moments that make me really happy. I tend to dread the birth because it is painful and I worry about complications. Holding my baby is my arms at the end of pregnancy is delightful. I like to have a gender scan at 16 weeks pregnancy to find out the gender of my baby. I have three children and am not pregnant at the moment. Though I remember my pregnancies with fondness.

They say womanhood is complete when she turns a mother. That is all I know. Have not experienced it yet. The process is indeed exciting and mysterious.

That's all well and good for you, but not all women think that. There are plenty of women, minority though they may be, who have no interest or desire in getting pregnant or having children. There are even women who have a deep fear and disgust for even the idea of getting pregnant. I also think it's deeply ignorant and offensive to say that you're not a real woman unless you have a child or that it's not a real home without children.
