Gardening is a great work

Gardening is great for the soul, body and mind. I can spend hours and hours in the gardens and green house. I grown flowers for seeds, for visual effects and as a learning curve. Always experimenting. I have not gardened, grown ornamental plants for their dyes but I like the idea. I would love to learn more about this. The closest I have come is to use rose petals to make beads. Have you ever heard of that? Can you share with us, what plants are most common to grow for the use of their dyes? Are you an active gardener yourself?
