Cockroaches are insects who was well respected and feared by many people in all corners of the world. Cockroaches are believed to be one animal / animal world's oldest dating back to antiquity. Roaches found in various parts of the world (except the poles) because it has the ability and the design of the body that are resistant to various conditions andcapable of move swiftly .Cockroaches have many types and kinds which reach thousands of species.
so why The reason why many people are afraid of cockroaches??

To be honest,I don't like cockroaches because it isn't a pleasant view to see one of them in your kitchen,for example,but I understand there are many people who appreciate them not only as animals,but also as food,so I think the difference lies mainly in our cultural heritage because there are many things we,Europeans,consider repulsive,but which are appreciated in other parts of the world.

First thanks for the info. Second i think people more disgust from this insects than fear from them.
I don't like flying insects cause i don't want them to fly near me :)

For me, I have Asthma and Allergies, and people with Asthma and Allergies should never be around cockroaches.

Hi intif,
You are right, roaches has been around for quite sometime. They are the remnants of the dinosaurs, they are considered living fossils for they have not changed in appearance from their earlier ancestors.
People fear them due to their weird appearance, otherworldly, so to speak. They come from another time, lost era, and they seems to just don't fit to our modern age.
Moreover, the disease they carry is more than you could imagine. They came from places where germs abound, just like flies and rats, one roach is enough to infect a lot of people.
We should be more wary if a roach is around, or a rat, mosquito or a fly for that matter. However, the physical appearance of a roach is inspires more fear than its more modern contemporaries.
