I'm on a tight budget and am looking for another used laptop to replace this one since it's getting older and slower.
I'm not sure what to get though I'm really interested in getting one with Windows XP on it as I'm used to it.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I already have a Dell Latitude D600.

for windows os i will prefer that don't buy Dell again as they are giving copy of windows 7 and they do not provide us the support or drivers for windows xp...
and about the system capabiilties that depends ont what work you are intended to do on your laptop..according to that choose the configuration most suitable to your requirements

I bought an older model HP that still runs XP. It's got a smaller hard drive, but I can always get a 1 TB HD from Tiger Direct as an external, and a USB to hook it up. I had a larger one with Vista, but the quality of the hardware, and the damn thing fell apart. this new one, though smaller and older, is built almost touch enough for my Marine Step-son to take into a war-zone. Fortunately that'll never happen since he's stationed somewhere else, but still, that's how strong it is.
As for where I got it, I got it at a little private computer store here in town, where the guy re-furbs computers, and sells them at a lower price. I got this one for about $500, and I love it!!
