They are very beneficial to the body, and include nutrients, potassium, iron, other minerals, and a high amount of vitamins? Well, I guess now you know. Never thought that the common weed would turn out to be more than just a weed, eh?

Yes, I've heard about this. It actually made me wonder when I heard about that for the first time. There are like plenty of them growing everywhere, they're even kind of headache for a gardener, cause they spoil the surroundings and disturb the plants we grow in the garden.
I think that my mother has even tried adding dandelion leaves to a salad.

hi starrwilihtamber I do now so years back when I was
a kid my mom would go out when the dandelions first
popped up on our lawns and pick them when really
young., she cooked them as greens and squeezed lemnon
juice on them. I learned to really like them and
when we had them I never had a cold so knew that
they were good for us but did not know the
nutritional value of them. Also there is another weed
called Lambs Quarter that is silvery under side ofthe leaves
and makes a very mild and flavorful green. I do not know
if it has any food value but I am going to look it
up and find out.
