In my personal view, life imprisonment is heavier than capital punishment. Because a wealthy people can just take money from their pocket without any hassle or pain. And most of the fine for crime isn't worth it for damaged done to the victim. So influential people doesn't mind committing a crime such as killing or abusing people physically or sexually since they know it's easy to pay the crime because they have a lot of money. How about in your opinion, which is heavier capital punishment or life imprisonment? Why?

If it's up to me, anyone that commits a crime should be imprisoned. Bailing is something i don't agree with, because it's something that encourage those spoiled little rich boys & girls to see their " crimes " as " not a big deal " as long as they get away from it only by paying money instead of spending sometime behind bars.
I suppose if someone that committed a crime didn't spend his time in jail, will never understand what is know as " consequences " of his/her deeds.
Prison was made as a correctional institution, if we don't take it's job that serious, than we shouldn't have jails at all.
PS : of course in some cases, bailing is good, cos it helps maintain the continuity of these institutions " prisons " by funding them.

Hello mayrah,
Capital punishment is giving in rare occasions. Life imprisonment is common than capital punishment. If a person can influence the Law and Order then getting either of punishment will be equal to that person. If he/she get a life imprisonment and can influence the authority with his/her money he/she can live at home or live in jail like free. I really wish the authority should be strict with the rules and punish the real culprits regardless of their money power.
