I am not going to celebrate new years day this year. Seriously .... You may think why?......... But I am sure to not do that. You may think me a crazy people but I find nothing to be so enthuses with this event. It is personal feeling but I feel that what will going to be tomorrow( on 31 dec.)? New yeas comes .... it's right but what is the deference of tomorrow with today? I am not discouraging you all in celebrating new years but my question is to you all that have you find any deference of new years day with other day? Earlier I has also celebrate new years day with lot promise to fulfill in coming years. But all are forgotten on the next day of new years day and life goes on the monotony of day today life. So this year I want to pass the day like other ordinary day and I am not going to make any promise for the coming year. Can you imagine the new year day to pass like an ordinary day?

i think most people hope for the new year to be a better one-hence the celebration. then there's the "any excuse for a party" ones.. i don't plan on doing anything special either.for one the crazies are out driving, and i've also got the flu.

I can imagine New Year's day to pass like ordinary day but I chose to make it special always. I always enjoy celebrating holidays with my loved ones and the said day is no exception. I'm not going to make any resolutions since I don't embrace it and I believe that you can change your ways any time you really wanted to.

I cannot imagine not celebrating New Year's Eve, it is one of the event of the year that everybody are looking forward. Some of us had a long preparation for this. I dont know hat is the reason why you feel like that. I used to think that celebrating new year is non-sense because there are still no changes in my life. But I realized that changes should be started from ourselves. Our life wont really move forward unless we will be the one to make actions. I hope that all of us will be happy this coming new year!

I have never been one for celebrating New Year. The only reason I can see for celebrating it is to say goodbye to some pretty rubbish experiences, knowing that our global corporates have some more stored up to make the next year miserable.

Of course the first of January is an ordinary day. But it is already in our tradition right? To celebrate an end of a full revolution of earth (a year) which also means a beginning of a new one. While the first day of the New Year which we celebrate is an ordinary day, the coming days are not. All of the things will change. Like the new fashion for 2011, new and improved projects of the government, our success with our professions, our age of course, etc.

I really dont have enemies in personal. May be because of their act, I try to avoid them but would like to keep in touch with each and everybody. I will try to help my enemies also when they are in danger

Everyone don't like celebrating new yrs. People have their own way of celebrating each holiday. I usually don't celebrate new years except the last few yrs I have with friends. This year I get to celebrate it with my boyfriend. All the other new years I never had a boyfriend to celebrate with. Were not doing anything big though but our local bowling alleys our having a new yrs party so that's what were going 2 be doing on new yrs eve is bowling. I can't wait it's gonna be so much fun. Enjoy ur friday.

Hello Aaleexix, I agree that theres no difference between new years day with those ordinary days.It just maybe its a traditinal way to celebrate new years eve like a special day to some individual,I myself don't think much difference about it. I don't even have a new years resolutions for the coming year but I 'm just hoping it will bring better days than the past years in my life.Nothing special about new years day for me no promises either.I'm just so much thankful to have another of my life and to my loveones. Happy myLotting and Have a great day!!

For me it depends on the invitation. Celebrating New Year's eve in Bali can be expensive and down right frustrating. Most of the activities are happening around the hotel compounds and Kuta beach, mostly. The price varies from US$100 - 500 per person not including tax. Or if people content to just sit down on the free beach, they have to arrive very early - 2pm for the road will be a total block out from around 5pm. Most offices nearby close at 12noon to avoid this block out. So, you see, I am not a big fan of New Year's celebration either. Unless, someone paid for my ticket and send a car and a driver to get to the venue.

I am not very enthousiastic about the new year's day either or other clebrations as well;many people use these celebrations as an excuse to get drunk and forget about their worries, but this doesn't solve their problems;eventually, the celebrations are over and then most people go back to their monotonous and unhappy lives. The celebrations come and go,but the problems remain.

i am not doing anything for the new year. i am 28 years old and in my time i think i have only gone out maybe 4 times on new years eve i normally just stay in. so this year will be on my own watching the telly! i just dont see the point in going out when the next day you feel hungover you wasted way to much money having to wait ages to get in a place then paying loads for the drinks people fighting remembering all the drunken things you did so yea to me it will just be another night! but i will be glad when this year is over and i get to start fresh all over again. hope you enjoy what ever you do!
