Hello friend.
Make limited partitions on your hard drive. If possible then make two partitions :-
C:
D:
Depending upon the size of your hard disk give about 25 GB space to C: drive and make D: drive with the space left there after.
Install all software's and programs in D drive (to some folder lets say it is D:\Program Files)
Now in the remaining space of D drive you can store your data in multiple folders. What's the significance of doing this ? Yes it has certain advantage. when you transfer file s located in D drive to some folder which is again in D drive, you will see Higher file transfer rate, secondly in doing so lesser RAM is used (so rest of the RAM memory will speed up other programs you are running)
Make a folder in D: Drive and name it Desktop. Now create a shortcut of this folder and send it to desktop. In this folder put all your saved files (like you save from internet or the files which makes your regular desktop appear crowdy. Advantage of doing so is you C: Drive will remain as such empty as the files are going to a folder named as desktop whose location is in D: Drive )
This in turn will put lesser load on your hard disk.
and also do not forget to check these few things :-
1. keep speakers / woofers aways from your CPU Cabinet
2. keep your UPS away from your CPU Cabinet.
3. Another thing surrounding your CPU Cabinet which have magnetic power of attraction, keep it away from it.
Reason : Magnetic field created by all these things helps to imparts bad sector in the hard drive.

Personally I prefer having at least 4 partitions. Two for OS, one for program, and one for data.
I do not see how having partitions on the hard disk increases the incidence of bad sectors. So far I have never had bad sectors with the number of partitions that I have. In my opinion having partitions delays the occurrence of bad sectors. I may be wrong on this issue, and had been lucky.
On another note the quality of the hard disk also plays a part.

hi,
the main reason of having bad sector in your disk drive is due to improper shutdown of your computer, to avoid that, when your computer shutting down improperly,
run chkdsk or scandsk in your computer.it will fix the bad sector you have.
