Thw iPhone could easily be one of the phones of the decade for multiple reasons. In its factory settings, the iPhone is already a powerhouse. With multiple free and paid apps you can make it do virtually whatever you want it to do. It even has autocorrecting keyboard as you type, in texts, emails, notes, where ever it is you are typing. And guess what? I'm on my iPhone right now! With AT&T's 3G network, I can browse the internet where ever I have service(which is virtually every where). Now, that's just with factory settings. Lemme bring in the things you can do with a jailbroken iPhone. Jailbreaking, now being legal, is one of the best things you can do to an iPhone. It lets you change all the settings you couldn't change before. You can have multitasking on an iPhone 3G, which doesn't support it natively. I think that the iPhone could be in the running for the phone of the decade simply because of this jailbreaking feature which is becoming easier amd easier with time. That's just my two cents.

i think not in reality iphone is just a market trend for people that want follow the tech fashion of the moment!!In reality iphone is like many other phones but apple's marketing gave you the impression that you are the only one without this product but it is not as so...i never owned an iphone and i thin i won't own in the future!!

I have never had an iphone, but I know of people who have one, and they really like it. I have an ipod touch, and I like it, but the battery isn't the best, as it drains way to fast. I would think that the iphone will lose popularity, and it won't sell like it has in the past. That is just my opinion though. Take care, and happy new year.

I love my Iphone, which I honestly never even thought that I would own one but after having one for several months now I have to say its got to be the best phone ive ever owned simply for all the different things its allowed me to do not only with my personal contacts but also with my business contacts, and information. As far as it being the phone for the next few decades, apple has a lot of work to do if they plan to retain that title. There is so much competition in the cell phone market and everyone is consistently trying to out do each other its hard to think any one manufacturer could stay on top of the market for all that long. Unless of course they are constantly in development and ready to roll out a new product at the drop of a hat.
