traffic exchanges

I was reading a article on the internet about making money from traffic exchanges. It says that you can sell your credits and put other peoples sites on instead of yours. I was wondering if anyone here does that and how do you get customers doing this.

I have used traffic exchanges in the past, some paid for and some free, but to be honest, I have found the majority a waste of time. yes, I have had referrals sign up to some of my programs but they have been totally inactive and were obviously using traffic exchange sites to get referrals for their own programs and only joined because it was a rule of the traffic exchange site. Nowadays, I don't waste my time but run a blog and build up friends and that it by far the best way to get referrals even if it it a little slower.

I have used traffic exchanges for a while now. Accept with my post above that traffic exchanges are not that beneficial in converting leads. I accept it will get you loads of traffic to your site but it stops there. I have heard lot of articles in the internet claiming if you don't earn from traffic exchanges or not getting the desired result from them, then you don't know how to use them. Not sure whether I am using them the right way.

Thanks for responding. I don't know what these Internet sites mean by "not using them properly". As far as I can work out, you visit sites and then other visit yours. All most user are waiting for is for the timer to count down so they can push up their points and get more traffic for their own site. Now, when somebody comes to your site because they are interested in what you have to say, then it is a different matter altogether. Any referrals you get then would be because they are interested in earning money with you. _Derek

I am interested in it but sorry to say that I do not know how to do it. Would you please name the site from where you came to know of traffic exchanges.
