These days, there are SO many choices! I'll outline a few here, but if money weren't an issue, what would be your preference?
For Materials: Gold, White Gold, Platinum, Titanium, Stainless Steel, Inlays (like Gold with a White Gold Stripe)...
For Stones: None, Diamond, Gem (Sapphire, Ruby, etc), Cubic Zirconia...
Would you lean towards a traditional style? Would you want your ring and your partner's to match or go together? Would you want the male's band to have diamond(s) or no? Do you like simple, or elaborate? Would you bother with an engagement and then wedding band, or just the bands? Is uniqueness and originality important to you? Vintage? Family heirloom?

It seems to be a popular trend nowdays in jewelry art, to mix very different materials, like yellow gold and white gold, yellow gold with silver, stainless steel or even wood, white gold with ruber etc., and i like it very much. So, if I had to choose, I would probably decide yellow gold with white gold or silver elaborate stripe(s) but no precious stones for a wedding ring. The rings of partners have to match, I think. As for an engagement ring, they say, diamonds last for ever(even if they are small!). It depends on bride, I guess, should there be another precius stone or not - her taste, favourite colors etc.

I would love a vintage wedding set as a family heirloom.

my engagement ring is white gold, I only wear white gold. It has a pearl in the middle and two sets of three lil diamonds on both sides. My wedding band will be two skinny bands with diamonds in it. Much like an eternity band. Its much like the picture Ive uploaded. So Ill end up with three rings:] my fiance is not flasy at all so he will have a simple white gold band with a few small diamonds in it.
