Meaning of Life

So many people would like to know the meaning of life. Some feel that a god/gods has put them here for a purpose, and fulfilling that purpose is the meaning of all life. Some people feel that the meaning of life is to love others, and try to leave the earth a little better place than when you got here.
I personally feel like each person must find their own meaning, because you will only be happy if you are doing something that has true meaning for you.
What do you think the meaning of life is? Is it a mystery? Have you found your own meaning and purpose?

Thanks and I will keep trying!
The ultimate meaning of life has to be to know the one that originated life and having a relationship with him.
It's like an orphan who always wants to know who his mom and dad were and he starts on a search for them. And every clue that brings him closer to them excites him and gives him great joy. He won't stop till he is able to embrace them and gets all his questions answered.
Have fun, the journey is wonderful, and the destination is just another direction to a further journey! Life will never be boring but always exciting!

The purpose of life is happiness. The way to happiness is to discover what you are passionate about. What really turns you on? What did you daydream about when were young? What do you concentrate on after school is out, or on holidays? Or, if you are working, what do you love doing at weekends? If you find a consistent answer to each question, then the likelihood is that that interest will be your passion in life, and your career. Finding that passion, turning it into a career (or even a business), meeting goals along the way, all add to your self-esteem. Without self-esteem there is no lasting happiness. Things achieved, even small goals, lead to self-esteem. Another thing that thwarts happiness is not being honest. If you know you are honest and you mix that with your passion, you will soon have self-esteem. We're on this Earth to be happy. Forget the God thing. If there were a God, then his purpose in putting you here would be to make you very unhappy indeed. Just look around you. So,just follow your passion, dear Rebecca. Don't get sucked into just any sort of job that going. Have a great purpose, and a great 2011.

This is what I feel also. I think that people who live for the ideals others set for them will not be happy, and not feel like they have had a meaningful life. My passion is teaching, but not just school-related things. I love coaching sports, tutoring, babysitting where I can help children learn life lessons, anything really, where I can help someone understand something.

Do you feel then that god put us here to learn certain things before we would be fit for heaven?
