It is just me and y daughter here and she went to bed already and my husband said he was on the way home like an hour ago and the street we live on is very dark and I keep seeing this car I have never seen keep driving slowly through the alley, do you think it could just be someone lost? I mean it is the Holidays. Anyway I guess I just get scared too easy it is probably nothing!!

I am easy scared too but I'm glad you do check your surroundings and notice something strange by now I hope your husband is home. Maybe you should ask you and your neighbors to put more lights to make your neighborhood more bright and safe? By now your husband should be home I hope and if you see unfamiliar cars out and going in circles you definitely can all the cops and notify them
to check for you. Be safe :)

Thank you for your response, Today is Friday and everything is okay I never saw the car again, I am guessing it was just someones family around here that was lost or something because all the neighbors around here do have a lot of company over for the Holidays. Have a good day!

If I were in that situation I would call the police immediately. Give them a full detail of the car as much as you can see. Do not go outside! Make sure your windows and doors are secure. If you have a weapon keep that close to you, and if not keep something close to you that could be used as a weapon. These are things I've learned in my combative arts class and discussions.

It maybe nothing, still I would probably call the non emergency number to the police and give them the information. They should send a squad to just check out the neighborhood when one is available in your area.
Just make sure doors are locked securely and windows are closed and locked. We have had things like that happen here. Even had a couple of men try and steal my car.. Instead of waiting for someone I ran out and told them in choice words to get out of my car. When they heard me and then saw me they took off running. The one thing I learned is not to be silent in a situation like that.. be loud so neighbors can hear.. less likely the robbers will try something stupid..
I know I took a risk, still in the end I still had my car..

No don't go outside, just make a call to the police. Even if your husband comes home. I would make the call if I were you.

I respect that you are a Pastor, but this is the worst advice you can give to someone in this situation. If someone has a potential robber or home invader in their neighborhood they need to call the police immediately so that they can be on their way. Response time here in the US on a good day is 6-10 minutes, and on a bad day or late at night may be as long as 15-20 minutes.
She also needs to make sure she is protected. If she isn't trained in combatives or self defense the best thing she can do is make sure all the doors and windows are locked.
Sure, prayer is wonderful and very calming but in this situation she needs to be proactive. She needs to be ready to fight in the case that someone breaks in. Calling the police at the first sign of something suspicious is a good way to deter anything else. It lets the police know there is something suspicious in your area, and puts them closer to your allowing them a quicker response time should anything occur.

No, that is the best thing, and the first thing she should do. Sure it's a good idea to call the police. But call on God first. I've been there, and so have others. It's very sad that you think prayer is the worst advice! Think the police can be right there on the spot at any time?
I should add this about prayer: there's two sides. Yes, one talks to God, but the other side is that you listen carefully to what He says.
