what i heard is that south africa claiming that they lost this game due to poor umpiring and the umpires both davis and asad rao were drunken before the game and couldnot concentrate at their best and that was the reason for their defeat. and south africa management may be planning to complain against these both umpires.what i think is that bad decision are going to come here and their and this time it was south africa's turn and they shouldnot really create a issue out of it.i think they are just unable to accept the fact that indians outplayed them on the wicket which was taylormade for their bowlers.what you people think about this?

I wont support proteas, but poor umpiring does affect results in cricket, mind you SA lost by just 80 something which is not much if you consider to wrong decisions ,boucher & devilliers,a partnership of 100 between them could have tilted match in their favour. If india had got such decisions while chasing,we would have blamed umpire as well.we beat SA but not as convincingly as they did, moreover poor umpiring made a mess of SA chase.

speculations would never end and no one can predict what could have happened if those decisions were not been made, its the part of this game and one has to accept the fact the umpires are going to make mistakes.it adds fun to this game.keep mylotting.

These are serious allegations and I think ICC would make note of this. Greame Smith is known to be a cry baby and you can understand it with the number of near misses that South Africa has had over the years. But I think it is good for India if South Africa keep blaming extraneous reasons and do not look at their batting. I think Prince though he stuck out in the middle in the second innings can't keep Duminy out for long. Cheers! Ram

well my dear friend, SA lost the match and that too on wicket where everyone thought that Indian batsmen will struggle and SA batsmen will cherish. But the sorry story is that in the first innings they got out for just 131.They have shown that J.Kallis run out was turning point in the first innings by Ten cricket channel. Tell me what did Kallis able to do in the second innings in-spite he got a life when Pujara dropped a sharp catch in forward short leg. Umpiring was good until the second innings in my view. One thing I would say in this series there was no review with third umpire is not there. So, umpire has to give decision on the spot and he cannot have replays to assist him to see whether it is plumb LBW or not. Zaheer Khan was not given out because Umpire heard two sounds one is that bat hitting something and umpire thought it was ball and here too he was to see it in fast action and no slow replays at his service. So, he has given benefit of doubt to Zaheer. Ab Devillers decision was tight one, the ball pitched in line and hit just below knee and aheading towards stumps but hawkeye said that ball will miss the stumps. Tell me how accurate is hawkeye even it is accurate then also umpire has better vision. Simple hawkeye said it was wrong decision every one started criticizing umpire. Boucher decision was very bad one and for that umpire must be fined, the ball was outside the line of stumps and just came a fraction inside but given out.. Apart from these decisions the umpire was good. Complaining will not help South African team because hell a lot of times India faced the bad decisions when they were touring SA or Australia. And ICC will do nothing when it comes to umpiring failures. What ever India has given lot of chances to SA in the match to come back but they could not capitalize. India won and SA has under estimated Indian bowling attack after winnings the first test. This match was eye opener to them

Some people are bound to complain when a couple of poor decisions are given to their team. Had two such decisions been given to Sachin & Dhoni most of us would have been vocal about it too. Thank god for neutral umpires ! The umpires also gave a lot of correct decisions under pressure, so putting the blame on them is ridiculous. the verdict is clear. SA was outbowled & out fielded by India & outbatted by VVS Lakshman.

totally agree that south africa were outplayed in almost every department and what worse for the south africa was that they had won the toss on a wicket which was tailor made for their attack.keep mylotting.

Thats really bad on part of south africa. But you are right that they are saying that they lost becase of bad umpiring because they lost the match. If they had won then they would have never said that. But i didnt hear any news that the umpires were drunken. There were only 2 or 3 bad decisions nothing more and it happens in many games. Happy mylotting. Regards, harry.

yeah according to south africa media reports and players they say that both the umpires were fully drunken before the game and which must have caused them which leads into bad umpiring.keep mylotting.

this is childish. Umpiring errors are quite common these days and they need to take it the way it comes. Also you cannot loose a test match just because of umpiring errors They should have pressurized BCCI for UDRS system instead.

yeah that really is a big question as indian team is reluctant to accept the UDRS system from srilanka series in which it had made indian team suffer.indian team has always said that the system is not 100 % correct.may be south africa could have convinced indian team to agree on UDRS system.I think the system has definitely helped in many situations as we see many teams such as england, australia and other are using it.

I think South African were desperate to win matches and they are complaining of everything. I think both team should have chosen Referral system and they should have used it during the matches. I think some of them are sledging. I believe in winning matches in a fair play.
