I had never heard of this site until your discussion but I am taking your link and forwarding it to a member here who was complaining about a really bad site. I tried really hard to find a reputable place.
So this I will send to her to see if it works out for her.
Thanks and Happy New Year to you!

THanks for looking into it..
I know it's a whole diff world then bbb
you don't have to go through extensive forms
Although there is a form to fill out.
I heard of this site about 11 years ago.
Many would say the site is not legit
others say it is. .but one thing is certain is
people are hopping on there and voicing their
thoughts about sites. and companies and people
who are scamms and scam artists.

Just wondering have you checked with the BBB to see the sites validity and or complaints. There are no forms to complete to check. You just type in the web address. Good luck!

well i just heard from you but this is a idea even i was thinking of and did a lot of research on it. i use to work on freelance and i faced quite a clients who didn't pay after the work is done. i though of making a website (a forum kind of thing) where people can post about such incidents, but then when i gathered a lot of information, i understood that there can be huge law suits.. specially if the company decides to do one.. because every information on a website has to be genuine (with proff) and if there are any false claims, then the companies can really make us pay for that and even competitor companies can play tricks and we will become the victims

No I have not heard of it but it seems worthy of bookmarking it. At the very least, it will help keep the Internet a better place. It will educate people not to waste their times with scams. Rather spend more time at reputable websites such as myLot. I think that there are far too many ways to help determine the validity of the company. Still that website will help, providing that people do not abuse it and that could be a problem.

Ripoffreport.com is by far the best resource available to consumers who want to check out a business, individual, or company on the internet. It allows you to see both the negative and positive. Ripoffreport.com as well promotes the most truthful information as it does not remove content and cannot be bought like other so called, (self-proclaimed)consumer sites out there, who will for a price take down a negative or hurtful posting.
I recently found out most of these sites also ripped most of there content off of ripoffreport.com - I found one lawsuit where ripoff-report. won several judgments against them, and there are judgments entered against other self-proclaimed consumer sites doing the same.
Further researching I have found that ripoffreport.com fights all lawsuits against them and never removes complaints or hides the reason behind them,(such as the BBB)no matter what. As a result, it's unfortunate , I have sen what ripoffreport's enemies have tried to do ripoffreport.com and it's founder ED Magedson.
