Universal Remote are they a Good Idea?

Who is familiar with the movie Click? Its a movie about a man who has a hard life and is given a easy way out by a so called universal remote controller that controls everything and anything he wishes in life. Later he realizes that he really misses the little things in life. In my opinion that would be the best invention that someone would ever create. He just abused the power of the remote for his own personal gain. If someone had the power of time there is no limit to what they can do. All the things they could discover limitless possibility's. I could sure use one! You need to be responsible and not abuse power but for most people thats hard. It's so easy to go power hungry. Anyway back to the universal remote thought, would that be a good idea? How would you use it? Would you use it for personal gain or to help others. I know I would use it for personal gain most of the time speaking truthfully. What about you?
