I think for 2011. I would like to learn Solomon stitch, and the cable stitch. I am having hard time with these stitches. I tried several times with no success.

I adore the Solomon Stitch! I've made several baby dresses from it as well as curtains for my kitchen.
I'm glad to see you've learned how to do them from watching YouTube. That's where I get all my instructional videos. God bless those that do them!

I haven't actually set any "goals" but my crochet to-do list does have some projects on it that are comming along nicely. I finished my entralac crochet "winter" bedspread I will quilt it this summer/fall, I am almost finished with the baby blanket for the baby shower that is this Saturday. It is made up of hexagon motifs and some have 3D looking jungle animal heads on them. Then I'm going to make a purse for myself using no. 18 nylon cord. After that I came across another bedpsread I want to make for the warmer months. Its from 1947, and made of # 10 crochet cotton thread (I'm really excited about this project). I don't know what it is about bedspreads, but I really enjoy making them.
As far as new stitches go there aren't any on my list to learn, but with the bedspread I will be learning to join as you go with the flat braid stitch method. I really enjoy making motifs so maybe this way of joining will work out well, I don't care for having to whip stitch them together.
