the unexpected gift

This year as a gift I was given what I am calling a yarn barn(a container that holds 6 different yarns so that they do not tangle) and several different looms to make a variety of scarfs and blankets with. I would have never thought to ask for such a gift and I most likely would not have bought one for myself. The more I looked at it the more intrigued I became and today I am going to finish my first scarf. (It looks great and I love it) Have you ever recieved a gift that seemed odd and then ended up loving it?
