It use to be we could only get movies for a few sources: movies rentals, satellite, cable, network TV, or buy them at the various places that carry them and off course there is/was the pirated ones. These days there is so many venues to get them: VOD, screaming free or paid, cable, satellite, rentals, DVDs, blue ray, Hulu, podcast YouTube, and many more. Cable has gotten into the game where you have to buy the movie on VOD or Paid-per-view and will list a line up like the network TV as CSI playing Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Customer are not subscribing to cable to watch movies that were made for cable TV you can get that on network TV. Why are we subscribing to cable for all of the same things that are playing on the networks: reality TV, game shows, talk shows, adult cartoon/animated shows. With so many places to get movies and watch TV why is there not a thing on over 9000 channels? What is going on is that the customer is getting flee and cable keep getting paid.
