Today I looked in our pond.

I wasn't watching the news so I was not aware of the freeze warning. We forgot to put blankets on our plants and we forgot about the crab in our pond. This morning around 11 am almost lunchtime, I went out to our backyard and then i see ice on the water floating, and then I took a closer look and found our fiddler crab upside down and it's not moving (I thought it was dead) so I took him in and defrosted him. Now he is in a fish bowl. He's alive.

Hi, Gorillafootprints. That is so very sweet of you to bring your pet fiddler crab into your home to defrost him. This was a simple accident that was not your fault at all. So, don't even blame yourself at all. Sea creatures may not be humans, but they are reptiles/amphibians that God has created for all of us to enjoy.

Yup he is back in pond after the frost is gone. He is back hiding in the masses of algae.
