Have you ever had someone who weights over 200 pounds say to you: you dont eat enough. Why is it that someone who is overweight or, and overeater can not see that there is a problem with them, and not with the other person? Do they think that by getting the other person fat it will solve their problems? I have heard that overeating is a disorder and that overeaters will make excuses for their overeating. They will make excuses like: what weight, if I did not have this or that I would not weight so much. Why is it so hard for people to tell overeaters if you skip a meal or try smaller portions sizes then you will not weight so much? This country has a problem with overweight, obesity, and overeaters. Do you think it is a good ideal to say: let's go for a walk or, let's have a fruit salad for lunch? Most people I see and know that are overweight do not eat fruits, and very little vegetable. They think if they have some Greens that they have had their vegetable for the month. But, can always fine fault in the foods you are eating, and you want to say; you are the one who is on the medication to control high blood pressure, and diabetes.
So, the next time they say; you dont eat enough, is it a good ideal to say a dozen of eggs, a half loaf of bread, and a side of beacon is not breakfast, but groceries. Or, is the polite way much better in saying that I believe that it is important to watch what we eat and try to eat a balance diet?

hi chalde this works both ways, are you one who tells people you do not even know that being overweight is bad for you? okay now you go on and on about what you think. but did it ever occur to you who do not have a weight problem that all overweight people do not over eat and do have problems that cause weight gains that are not their fault at all. its mean of course for an overweight person to get personal and go on about how you do not eat enough.but by the same token if you jumped on me about my weight I would be very angry as I am under my doctors care, I do have a scales, I have eyes and a mirror also I do not overeat. I am a diabetic and some of the medications I was on earlier cost me a huge weight gain in two weeks. now this is the truth. my doctor could vouch for that but why should he? why should I have to tell an absolute stranger my whole medical history? If slim people would just not think they have to jump on me because I am overweight and am working on losing. It is really nobody's business but my own, I do not get personal like that with skinny people. I will not judge others as its wrong,we do not know the other person's story and truly it is none of my business. live and let live is my motto.

If a friend of mine, or a family member, looks unhealthy in my opinion, I would tell him/her that without any doubt, whether I think they eat too much or too little. Let's face it, the pressure is on these days to stay thin, especially among teenage girls, and the standards presented in the media are clearly unhealthy.
I don't have a problem the other way around either, when people tell me I'm too skinny. It's true, sometimes I skip meals for days, or I work too much and I don't get enough sleep, and it's starting to show. I'm always ready to admit that I'm slim, but not for the right reasons, I don't eat healthy at all, so no harm done in receiving a friendly reminder every now and then.

Those obese people actually do know that there is a problem with them. But they cannot just control the urge of eating more because their stomach are used already to that. It's just a defense mechanism on their part to be minding you on your eating, if you are not eating as much as they can.
If the obese person is our friend or a relative, maybe it would be better if we tell them in a loving way , that we do care for them so much, so i would be better is he/she starts eating healthy to live longer. They will understand your concern and maybe will be a starter for them to fight their obesity.
