gre new pattern

hello everyone,
i read that the pattern for GRE is going to change this aug 2011 and have a few queries regarding the same. Is it true that for the first six months after the pattern changes we will have an option to take either the old pattern or the new pattern? Also what about the old scores? Will they be valid for long enough?
Please help me out.

Yes its true....The pattern changes by August this yr...and i dont think u are havin the option of takin up the old pattern once the new pattern comes in....and the score is valid for a period of 5 yrs though most colleges allow only a period of 2 yrs.....:)and are u gonna take the GRE????
