Recently, a truck which was loading with chicken in cages overturned because of crashing with a passenger car.
All cages of chicken dropped and scattered on the road.
Many other road users or passers-by and the residents nearby quickly stopped or rush to the spot to collect those chicken and brought home for free.
During that moment, the scene was upside down.
For me, it was showing the greediness, sadness and weakness of human-beings.
What is your point of view ?

I guess someone else might have seen it differently. It does seem pretty bad from the way you described it. Did anyone get hurt? Did anyone help the people that were in the wreck? Wouldn't the chickens all over the place cause more problems? Who really wants a live chicken? Is this an excerpt from an old book that you poorly translated?

It was in the newspaper. It was happened at my hometown.
The truck drivers were believed minor injuries. But he was helpless to those crowd of people who were grabbing as many as they wanted and walked away.
The news never mentioned about the car driver and the passengers.

Hopefully everyone is on. Being alive and healthy is more important than having extra chickens. Apparently those people must really love chicken.

That does not really surprise me. Really it does not surprise me at all. There are a lot of greedy people in the world. They are only out for what they can get in life. When things like this pop up, I'm not surprised anymore. Disappointed and saddened yes, but I am not really surprised.

I have heard and read about such incident very often in the newspaper or from my friends.
It might not be something new to us.
But if we personally witness or involve in this incident, we are sure to be shocked and be very hard for us to accept it.
If everyone mind their manner and culture, the sickness of society can be totally prevented.

It happen the same thing many time when accident happened to those trucks that loaded with goods. There was once truck loaded with rice and there was once truck loaded with sugar. Others vehicles driver and nearby resident all rush to the scene and "robbed" the truck victim. This is consider an act that breaking the law and can e sue for stealing. Many people when they see someone doing it and they will just join them and they are all blinded by the greediness. This is totally not acceptable. Did they ever think about it if they themselves is the victim? I hope these people will feel the same when it is their turn.

Truly sad indeed, as my thinking is had I been there it would be to scurrying up the chickens and get them off the road before the cars run over them. I could not sit at home and enjoy a single chicken I stole off the road.
But like I always say; so many people today look out for themselves and not wonder, if the man was even okay, did this accident now cause him lack of work, and or the inability to perhaps feed his own family.
Truly sad indeed.

How sad you mention that people ran to grab the chickens to take home...did no one see to the driver, to make sure he was okay?didn't they realize that he will get into all kinds of trouble for those missing chickens? People can be so self- centred...so sad..

I think this depends more on the culture of a place. If it is a poor country with not-so-mature governance, then you really can't expect much honesty from its citizens. There are laws against felony in every country but it's not the laws that build ethics. Many of us may know a lot about laws, but how many of us actually studied the origin and implications of these laws? A law will remain as a few lines on a government charter unless there is a certain kind of awareness within us. Most of us actually stay away from crime just because we don't want to end up in jail. How many of us abide by law out of respect and kindness to our society? The characteristics you are expecting in a human being are unfortunately, not basic. Only a wise man can afford to stay honest even when there is no law asking him to be, or when there is no one to watch him commit a crime.

This is nothing to do with our government here.
This is more about the understanding and the personal problem.
Someone felt shamed, criticized and posted what he had seen in the newspaper.
If everyone has the the same manner as what you have mentioned, the culture of this society will be perfect.

There is a lot more to that story than greed here. I think people there must be that hungry to steal from the poor accident victims. I think their minds would be more focused on the food they will bring home, than the lives of the people involved. That is so pathetic.

now a days more accidents are taking place on road...because of fast driving...we need to have fences on both the side of the roads so that animals don`t enter into traffic...sometimes accident takes place to save animals.

Thank you very much for your respond.
The truck which involved in the accident was loaded with chicken.
those chicken were kept in the cages.
When the truck overturned, all of the chicken together with the cages scattered around the road.
At the same time, the passers-by and the residents around that area rushed to the spot to collect or to steal those chicken.
In fact, they shouldn't have such shameful behavior.
