is this your first coordinating experience of a party? then, i like the way you are doing, seeking advices and tips on how to do it. i think in debut party, everything could be surprises for the debutant. do not make it predictable because then it will become forgettable. make it something that the debutant will keep until she lives. that is something to remember by for a long time. thus, cocktail mix is something of that sort. goodluck.
