I still fail to understand why we are not having UDRS for all tets matches .
Can we make third umpire optional ? Answer is No .. then why UDRS ?
I ahve never seen any major errors in UDRS . on the otherside we have seen lot of mistakes in the last test match between IND and SA.
You should either remove UDRS or it should be considered as part of the game for all matches.

One must embrace change, especially technology driven one before others do. This is where BCCI is laging behind.
If UDRS becomes compulsory in world cup, India will be at a serious disadvantage, since we have least experience in using it.
Part of the blame should also go to senior players like dhoni & sachin who have openly expressed their dislike for UDRS systems.
Not having UDRS takes away the charm from some of the victories & un-necessarily adds bitterness to a defeat .

I agree with you that putting UDRS as optional is something that is not required. I think ICC simply does not have the guts to push things over the BCCI. So it is offering it as optional. I think they should simply make it as a rule or move it out of all series. If the technology is not good enough, it is not good enough for anyone. If it is good enough, then it is good enough for everyone as simple as that.
Cheers!

I agree with you UDRS should be made part and parcel of the game although it is still not full proof there are errors in its decisions and that is the reason Dhoni and India is against UDRS. Even then I am for the system. As time goes by the system will improve and it will improve faster if we adopt it fully. The other day while watching 4th Ashes test, Cook was given out leg before but when review was asked it was found out that the ball had struck the pad off the bat. It is demoralizing and bad for cricket at large for the batsman to be given out that way.

Yea, i think UDRS system should be applied to each and every test match. But we have not seen the system used in indian series and the reason for that is, that india had a really bad time with this UDRS sysem. I remember that 2 or 3 years ago in the series between india vs sri lanka UDRS system was used and india mainly lost that series due to UDRS system and since then india started to fear the UDRS system and never used it. Happy mylotting. Regards, harry.
