I use to own a dishwasher, but my dishes never got clean. Even though I rinsed my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. I ended up having to wash my dishes over by hand. I am thinking of buying another dishwasher, but I don't know if the newer models really work. I hate to spend alot of money on a dishwasher just to discover that it doesn't clean my dishes. Does anyone have any insight on this? Is there a certain brand that works best? What kind of soap works best in a dishwasher so your dishes will come out clean?

I have never really used a dishwasher but last year we bought a home with a dishwasher. I didn't really want to use it but we did during Christmas. I was amazed at how well the dishes got washed. I thought to myself that it did a real nice job and I used dollar dishwasher cleaner to wash them with too. I guess mine uses the tablet, not the liquid. I don't use it all the time but when I do, probably 2-3 times since I get nice clean dishes.

That is why I was thinking of buying a dishwasher, only for those days that I cook all day and don't want to do the dishes afterwards. I would think that they are built much better today then the older style ones. I think I might just buy one and hopefully that it will do the job that it is surpose to do "clean my dishes". If not then I will just have to go back to the old technique of washing dishes "ME" :)

I think that dishwashers are one of the finest inventions that we have today. They are the healthiest way to get our dishes clean. hand washing is find, but i think that dishwashers can do a job that we can't. i don't think that one brand of dishwasher really outshines another one. They all can perform the same jobs.

I have a dish washer and it works really good. Mine is around twenty years old, but it is good. We don't use the dishwasher everyday, we use it only once in a week. We make sure that all the plates and other utensils have gone through dish washer at least once a week. I think there is a problem with your dish washer. It is worth showing it to a technician. Good luck. Hope you figure out the problem.

I use a dishwasher and I am very satisfied with it as it reduces the amount of work I have to do and it does just as great of a job. I can recommend a Kenmore Elite dishwasher as it does its job, looks sleek and shiny, and doesn't cost too much. Hopefully your dishwasher troubles will clear up. Good luck!

yes dishwashers work your hands and elbow grease always work. the machines they call dishwashers only work after you do 90% of the cleaning.

Too true!
Lots of people think there is an easy solution to everything. There is not now nor will there ever be a perfect dishwasher. They can't scrub the inside of pots or the lip of a cup. No matter how expensive the machine is it will NEVER substitute for the human ability to "check" each dish individually for things missed, or hard to remove particles.
Too many people are lazy and would rather risk leaving food on their dishes than to take the time to do the job correctly themselves. I mean who seriously wants to have dinner guests and not be sure whether or not the utensils were properly cleaned. Pretty embarrasing to have someone point out they have a dirty plate.
Better to be safe than lazy.

It might be just that diswahser. My does the job perfectly - we use Finish tablets. The hardness of your water area also affects the clean. Buy a new dishwasher - one with a garaentee and if it doesn do the job return it. simple as.
