I know I am not good looking at all but I want to put a photo to represent myself. I don't like keeping people guessing how this mylotter looks like in a real person so do you think after I put in this picture it will affect you to respond to my discussion? I notice a fewer people responds to me now. Do I need to change my avatar photo again? HAVE A NICE DAY :)

I prefer the title, and content of the post, rather than the figure of the lady in the pic ;)

Hi! For me avatar doesn't play a role in getting more responses, no matter you are attractive or not it will not affect the number of responses. I think how you put the title of you topic is more important, people will search for the topic that they are interested in but not the avatar that they like. I have seen some people being condemn when she puts up a pretty woman as her avatar and after that incident she put up an avatar that mention that "this woman is too sexy to be display". So just think about it.

Hi. wongchoiyee. I think that you are very beautiful. You are not ugly or grotesque at all. Even if you was butt ugly, I would still answer your discussions. I don't care how you look, it is all about what you are on the inside that matters. I am more attracted to the mindset and the heart of people that I communicate with on a daily basis. You don't need to change your avatar at all. If you do decide to change it, let it be because you want to. Don't change it for the reason of others not responding to you because of the way that you look.

A lot or a little amount of response we get, not influenced by avatars who installed. However, influenced by the quality of discussion that we make, and also the ability of members to respond. I responded to a discussion, not based on the avatar of the author discussion. However, I responded as best I can. if I feel able to respond to a discussion, I must respond. But if I was not able to respond to a discussion, I will not respond to discussions.

Hi wong, Not necessary that you put your original picture to attract traffic to your discussion. People do not look the avatar but are concerned only with the topic. However some people really get affected by the avatar. And who said you are not good looking?

I don't know, do you think more people would talk to an old lady then chat with a beautiful lady Llama. Her name is Gingar Snap.

As far as I am concerned, an avatar doesn't affect my decision to respond or not respond. I respond because the discussion is interesting, and I can give feedback to it. I never pay any attention to avatars. Those that do, to me, are just basing it on that, and they should base it one the discussion. I don't think your avatar really has anything to do with it. Maybe your discussions haven't been all that interesting to get responses. I wouldn't change my avatar for that, as it shouldn't matter at all. Just post good quality and interesting discussions, and you will get responses. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

I've only had one avatar photo in all of the time that I've been a mylot member, so I really can't say whether or not the photo that you choose to include in your avatar has any bearing on your number of responses to discussions that you've started. That said, I think that if it is possible you should use either a picture of yourself or of something that is meaningful to you because of the fact that doing that proves that you are a real person.

I don't usually look on an avatar to that extent to where I will not reply. I have this avatar because to me it signifies I'm a ever going fire which will try until I reach me goals. That is what my avatar is saying to me. One more thing is that I don't really like to add my real photos on the internet. Only one website alone I will add photos to and that is facebook and the only reason for this is because most of my families and friends are on it.

For me I'm attracted more to the post itself before the image, that's what you can direct control and make the most attractive to all. The pic is complementary, may be decisive for some, but I think the average MyLot user don't decide for the photo only. If you get less responses, think twice about what you post, maybe the problem is that, we all have made post that we through very good, but results in no responses. By the way, you're not bad looking

Hmmm I don't know about other people but I don't really take a glance at pictures. I respond to all the discussions I find that interest me! I don't think you need to worry about a thing!

Happy New Year to everyone! I'm always using pictures of cute animels, beautiful sceneries etc. as my avatars. Because I think these pictures are very clean and warm and people will be happy when see them. But I don't think it will affect the responses. The thing is, when you respond to discussions, what you really pay attention on are the topics and views of the authors, not the avatars.

First of all - dont be harsh on yourself. You are NOT an unattractive person. I think avatars are a representaion of the person inside as well as out. Obviously I'm not Pikachu but I am a happy person and the picture depicts that. Your picture is great and as long as your fine with it, who cares what others think?!
