To write a nice article, write a nice paragraph. Make it three to five sentences long, with each sentence growing out of the one before it. The last sentence should summarize your whole paragraph. Then, go back and make each sentence the subject of its own paragraph. Say your first paragraph was something like: I really like cats. They are soft and cuddly, yet they don't need attention the way dogs do. They bring a bit of nature into an urban home. I don't know why every home doesn't have a cat. Then your second paragraph will be about how you like cats.Cats make a home feel inhabited, but not crowded. You can go on about this for three sentences. Your third paragraph contrasts cats and dogs. Your fourth is about how cats are wild and natural in our artificial society. Your fifth paragraph sums up everything you said before. Once you get the hang of it, it is easy to write four hundred words or more this way, and it all hangs together. Just write a first paragraph that makes sense, and then expand it,sentence by sentence.
