What are your views about ripped clothing? It is a trend for younger adults but I think they're just a bit over board because it makes you look as if you don't have money. Why purchase expensive ripped jeans when you can buy a pair of brand new ones that will eventually wear and tear? I honestly own two pairs of ripped jeans and a pair of ripped shorts only because it was really cheap and it looked cute but obviously I would never wear them infront of adult, elderly people because that is rude and they would look down upon you.
What are your views about ripped clothing? Do you have any clothes that are bought where it was already ripped?

I own a couple pairs also but not as ripped as many that I have seen, also I also wear them to certain occasions also. Would not dream of wearing them to a fancy restaurant or something like that.
But today I have seen some that I wonder why people opt for them as they can be a bit more expensive then the full jeans.

The ripped jeans/clothing look seemed to take off as a fashion statement along with the rise of Punk Rock in the mid 70's..I can still remember the safety pins!
Personally,I'm a bit Torn (Sorry!) in my feelings about the subject..It's no longer a fashion statement I'm prepared to make,(Not that I did, back in the day..I just liked the energy of the Music at the time!)but it's where to stand on the subject of doing your own thing with clothing,or letting the fashionistas dictate where and how ripped items should look..I Mean,it's a USED clothing look, isn't it? ..paying fashion prices to get that look on something that's New seems to be missing the point,to Me..but then,it IS a fashion statement..and being fashion,it depends who's wearing it,too...

I think it's crazy.
Moreover..to think people by clothes new already ripped.
Use to be bleaching jeans were the fad.
Colored hair.. baggy pants.
It's so much foolishness but our kids enjoy it .. what can we say?

The funny thing is my stepson got my daughter a pair for Christmas which she wore that day and though I noticed they are faded in the thigh area I was aware that they made these type of jeans) I did not notice the rips until that night after she took them off to go to bed. I SCOLDED her for tearing her jeans already!! I guess I am just not in the loop anymore! I must admit it does look strange buying something that already looks like it needs repair!

I bought a ripped jeans about 3 years ago, of course it look not so crazy. there's not so many people wearing this kind of jeans in china(I'm a Chinese). Wasn't it a fashion trend years ago?
I think fashion is sth most people like it, but for ripped jeans, I wondered that people bought a ripped jeans for the reason that they really like it or just for fashion? hope you can understand me as my english is not very well~

The ripped denim jean is a trend. What pair of jeans have you seen that dont have a little fringe or a hole in them?.. But ripped tops, not a big fan. Ripped stocking / pantie hose? Absolutley not!

Haha yeah it is a trend. They do sell jeans without holes. I think the trend for jeans w/ holes are slimming down now. And ripped tops, no no and stocking pantie hose are a no no too. Lol thanks for sharing.

I like the style but I honestly thought it was kinda going out of style now. I am not into styles that much anymore, or rather style news. I have worn ripped jeans like that in the past and find them fashionable.

I've never been a fan of any kind of ripped clothing. What's the point of paying way more money for clothes like this when you can do it yourself. It'll be cheaper and look more unique. But I have owned some jeans that had some rips in the knees, that was because they were old and I wore them too much. They were comfortable so I kept them but I never did wear them out in public. I just prefer to go out in public with clothes that don't have unnecessary holes in them.

Yeah.. it is true , lol thanks for sharing. I own some ripped but they were cheaper and $25 orig. cost more so I bought it but now I refrain from purchasing them because they don't even look that nice.

It's a trend.
Young people wear it because that's the trend.
They feels IN with style that is why they wears it.
Yah,some wearing too much..like ripping more to reveal some flesh.
I wonder why don't they wear shorts then,if they just want to show some flesh.
And,yes, they looks like wearing a rug too...no offense meant pls.
Have a good day always

I never bought or wore one even if it was a fab.
Besides I like the clean and fresh look. It really depends of a persons style. People that wear ripped clothes specially jeans like the feeling of there's flesh that can be seen but not too much.

I guess ripped clothing are for those younger ones. They are nice if it's done in a way that they are mildly ripped. But when some flesh are showing so much, well it's not nice to look anymore.
I guess, people adjust to trends also so they won't be looked down when they wear those ripped clothings. They just look apathetic. LOL
