i strongly believe that each and one of us should have at least 8 hours of sleep. According to study if you are always lack of sleep, you don't know you're causing another problems. you'll be tired and very moody, you look like an ill person you are very hot-tempered and your mind can't think properly. people should be aware that most cancer-disease cause is lack of sleep. My fellow mylotters, i am afraid now because i have sleep problem. I couldn't sleep at night most of the time and up all day doing nothing, i did everything i can so i could sleep but i still end up looking at the ceiling at night trying to sleep. and in the next morning i am suffering from super headache.. anyone here could give me the tips on how to be able to sleep well at night?

hello, I am working at night,my shift starts at 12 midnight till 9 in the morning. I really need enough sleep because i am working at odd time, and it's not a normal rule of sleeping time. But i was used to it now,and i can say that you are right, lack of sleep will lead to serious illness and will make someone looks ill,hot tempered and moody. One good way to sleep and make you sleep is drink milk and eat banana. It's a good downer..it will make you sleepy. Try it,if it doesn't work...do some exercise to make you tired and eat banana and drink milk. Have a good day and welcome to mylot

All the symptons you listed, I have. Because I too don't get 8 hours of sleep. I usually get to bed at around 12 and maybe sleep just before 1. Every weekday I have to get up at 5am to get to work. I drink a lot of coke to keep me awake, and last year I've also started drinking coffee. Maybe you and I should get to bed early, and drink something warm, like milk.

I know when I don't get at least 8 hours of sleep at night that I start to drag aftr lunch the next day. Your body needs a chance to recharge and refresh with sleep. loss of sleep affects your mood, your attitude, your brain, and your health.

Hi hyacinth4u, Sleeping is a part of healthy habits. Sleep also breaks the day, other wise we cannot find he difference between yesterday, today and day before yesterday. I have experienced this. I was completely sleepless once for the whole night and the next day afternoon. I was in a confusion when did I do certain things yesterday or today morning. Coming to how many hours we need sleep. An healthy adult require min 6 hrs of sleep a day. To maintain health 6-8 hrs would be ideal. For me 6 hrs is ideal. I sleep at 12 midnight and wake up by 6AM sharp. When I go to bed I sleep immediately without any thoughts, that brings sound sleep. Happy living & Happy sleeping Calpro

I use to sleep 7 and a half hours every day. I usually sleep at 10 pm and wake up at 5:30 in the morning. These days I think I'll sleep a little bit less, because, as I'm in high school, I have a lot of homework to do, So I'll sleep at 11 or 12 pm. When I can't sleep what I do is to eat something, usually I can't sleep when I have eaten nothing in some hours.

See...for me someday it happens that I have lot of work for that I used to be awake till 1 at night. And next morning when I wake up at 6, I find myself as a very very tired person. And really it makes me very much angry. It feels like, I dont like anything in this world. So I will say that You do lot of exercises. I used to do it regularly. It will make you very tired. And do it in the evening time. So that you know...you will be tired at night time and will help you to have a good sleep. And have some quality food like fruit juices and lot of protein and vitamin. Because they are really necessary for keeping your body healthy. But if you are already following all these, then I think you have to consult a doctor.

Good Day! For me that eight hour sleep is really important because that's where you get your energy for the next day. Like me, I slept for only 5 hours and I feel dizzy now. I don't have enough energy to do things today and I know I'll look haggard if I don't have enough sleep. You'll also get eyebags if you lack eight hours of sleep.

I believe that it is extremely important for us to get enough sleep each night. our bodies require it to function properly. not everyone needs to have eight hours of sleep though. We can judge our bodies better than anyone else can.

Dig up a sugar crash. Okay, I know this sounds strange, but it'll work. This isn't actually the healthiest or best method but most likely the most effective. Eat plenty of sugar and wait for the crash. Again, I don't recommend this but his is a last resort.

Sleep is very important for a person. 7-8 hours of sleep will sharpen your mind , your actions and will keep you cool all the times. Maybe you should consult a doctor about you sleeplessness. Doctors knows best. Health is wealth so try making yourself healthy by sleeping well and eating healthy.

It's essential. If I sleep less then 7 hours, I'll have a bad day for sure. But 8 hours it's ideal. You could try having a drink of warm milk before you go to bed, if you haven't done that already (which you probably have, as this is the classic remedy for insomnia). You could also try relaxation techniques or listening to classical music before bed. I've also heard there are some types of herbal tea (lime?) that can help you sleep. And I'm sure there are many other methods. You should try several until you find one that works for you.

Maybe I can give you some tips because I have ever had such problems. Now I'm glad that I'v conquer this tough problem. I do hope my tips can help you! 1. Spending less time on the internet. I can not explain it why in a scientific way, But according to my experience, it does good to your sleep. 2. Doing some physical exercises. If you do enough physical exercise, you will get tired and will fall asleep easily. That my tips, hope you can have good sleep every day!
