Do you set new years resolutions? And if you do what are they?
My goals for the year are to run a 5k, a 10k, and half marathon and a marathon, and also to run 1000 miles over the year. I want to read 100 books and lose some weight. I want to travel more and have less debt.
What is everyone else trying to do this year?

I hope you do. I am addicted to Diet Coke and I would like to quit that this year. An addiction is something that needs to be mentaly dealt with too and that is where my struggle is. Most of the cravings are in my head where its telling me that I will feel better if I have one.

Hi
My Resolution is to work from home to have no one to answer to. I've just started working from home so I'm hoping I can earn a great living doing this. This was my only goal I've put in a lot of hours per week so hopefully soon I can stay at home with my little one. I want to prove I can work as well as have her home full time, I work part ,but it feels full time. The little one's in day care two half days ,but she's still young I'm not very happy with how they care for her so I'm working hard so I can have her at home and find a playgroup or something like that. I hope you keep to your resolution I'll work hard to make my dream come true.

I have been a stay at home wife and Mom for 11 years now. It has been such a blessing to get the chance to stay home with my kids. I got to be there for every milestone and I would never give that up for anything. But there has also been so many times that an income would have made such a difference for us. Congrats on being able to have both. I still stay home with the kids who are now a bit older and I would love even pennies to come rolling in.

I haven´t made any New Year´s Resolutions, although if I am honest there are all sorts of things that I would like to achieve or improve about my life this year. I guess that I am scared of actually forming them into firm resolutions in case I fail! Not a good way of looking at it, I admit!
I am very impressed by your aims for the year, particularly the running. I used to run distances when I was younger, but although I work outdoors all day now and am pretty fit, I don´t think there´s a chance that I could run even a 5k these days.
Reading 100 books is really something I could get into though.

Id love to make more money online. But Id love to be a teacher as well. I homeschool my kids and I love it. I think a little extra money would help anyone right now.

I don't usually have new years resolutions, but for this year, I need to get things under control. Starting with my finances, I need to get those things under control, badly. Then, in no particular order, I have to find a few things quickly, a new job, a car, and a new place (lease is expiring, and I plan to move). Then go back to something that I have not done in a while, lift weights. I miss moving the heavy stuff and being incomprehensible strength, and I want it back. To do this, I would probably spend the year, bulking up, making myself bigger, stronger, heavier, more muscular than what I am now (I am already a big boy, but I like the idea of being a huge musclebound beast). I am greedy in this department.

I look at the money that we have mad in the past few years and wonder what we did with it all. Its gone and we have a lot of stuff. This year I want to get less stuff and less debt in the process.

but of course I have a lot. That include trimming my carbo intake, reduce frowning, laugh out louder AND ENJOY LIFE...

Ahhh well said. Reduce frowning and enjoy life. That is on my short list of things to do in life. Live well my life while I still have it. Tomorrow comes with no guarentees!
