When having conversations, do you tend to listen or talk more?

Same here, I rather listen, my mouth gets tired when I do too much talking. I'll say what I have to say than shut-up, especially if I'm with a talkative person. If I'm talking with a quiet person I have to talk a little more and ask them more questions to get them going. I also tend to talk more over the phone than in person, because I don't have bw worrying about how I look or other issues. When I'm alone sometimes I'll talk to myself or sing a lot.

I like to listen more, the reason is, the more I listen, the more I learn something I don't know. The more I talk, the less things I learn. I tend to let people talk more about their experiences and thoughts and talk when necessary.
But when I'm intoxicated, I tend to talk more rubbish... lol...

i prefer to listen then to talk, first i give the chance to other person to complete his/her talk and then only i comment upon that when he/she finishes. by doing so both of us can present our point of view more clearly because if want to be heard by others then u must listen to them first.

depends who i talk with. if the person is silent and has not much to say then i will be the leader of conversation. but if the other person is talkative then i have no chance to talk i just listen and sometimes try to put one word between their sentences. i can find myself in both situations

I'm more of a listener. I don't know why. I've always been a real quiet person. I just don't talk much in real life (now computer or phone is a different story), unless I have something real important to say.

I listen first and then to add to the conversation. Sometimes I do a lot of talking and other times I just listen. It goes both ways.

it's very subjective, sometimes i might want to listen more, sometimes i will talk more. but if the other person is telling me about his/her problems, i will be the listener..if it's just casual talk, i will talk more.

I'm a listener. Which works out well since my hubby is a talkaholic. If I feel strongly about something, I can have plenty to say though. Especially if I'm with a group that I know well. One thing I have noticed is that I communicate much better in writing. I like to have time to collect my thoughts and get them all straightened out before putting my message out there.

well for me conversation must have that talk and listen. you cant talk all the time and just listen all the time .. it would be one way conversation which is not productive cause there is no exchange of info. thus, im a listener and talker. though there are times when i want just to listen or to be the one to talk but as much as possible i want it equal.

I listen more. I think it's because my mom, father and older brother talked a lot and when I was growing up, I learned to listen. Everyone was so busy talking, they didn't have time to listen to me so there didn't seem like much point in my talking too much. I'm big on writing, though.
