This article was passed onto me this morning and I thought it was a pretty good read, 21 Settings, Techniques and Rules All New Camera Owners Should Know: http://www.digital-photography-school.com/21-settings-techniques-and-rules-all-new-camera-owners-should-know So if you got a new camera for Christmas, or if you've had your camera for awhile but aren't sure of all the features it has, I'd definitely recommend reading this! Do you have a good understanding of how to use your camera? Or can your camera do a lot of things that you have no idea how to do?

That's great! You may want to send her the article so she can get the most out of using her new camera!

I have always liked to own my own camera. I have a fashion for photography of nature and I would love to have one for myself. I don't have a good understanding though of how to use it nor what's the best for me to choose for a start. Maybe if I have the money to buy one I'll do.

Good luck saving up the money for a camera! If money is an issue, you may want to purchase a used camera. These are quality cameras that work perfectly, but are less expensive. Most of the cameras I've bought have been used, and they all still work great! Your local camera store probably sells used cameras. Or you can find them for sale online on Craigslist or eBay. Also Adorama.com and BHPhotoVideo.com are both reputable camera companies that sell used cameras!
