After I saw that, I looked it up. Turns out the phenomenon is called a sun dog. Pretty interesting.

Indahfth, you are ahead of me, making the discussion about the phenomenon that occurred this morning. I logged in, intends to make a discussion about this phenomenon. Phenomena that happens, this morning until noon, making me very surprised. Various sayings of people, makes me a little worried. I was silent for a moment, staring. In my heart I pray, I hope this is not a bad omen.

Yes, that's called halo. Ring around the sun and either it could happen for the moon. I have never seen that phenomenon before however, I have ever seen halo in moon. Lunar halos easily can be seen when full moon and the whether is bright. It's good phenomenon, thanks for sharing with us.

That's quiet common thing, I'm seen this in many times, it's depend on the angle of sun position (or your position against the sun) and the temperatures in the atmosphere, when there is enough quantity of ice crystals, it will refracting the light that coming from the sun.
This "phenomenon" very similar with the moon halos. And its more often happen instead.
