I bought one Human Nature shampoo and body wash with a price tag of P269.75 stuck in the bottle of the product, when I went to the cashier to pay for it, the cashier scanned the product and the price popped as P271.00! This is so MISLEADING! I complained to the cashier why she is asking me to pay P271 when the price sticker is P269.. and she told me they FORGOT to change the pricetag! I told them that its UNACCEPTABLE! they should always be aware of the merchandise's prices. Its misleading and it is not right! Would you complain the discrepancy or will just let it go? I emailed the Company about this hoping that they will make some action regarding this matter as it cheats the customers They FORGOT? What a LAME LAME LAME EXCUSE!.

I would have complained if I were you, because it happened here very often. I go to shop almost everyday. Can you imagine how much do they get from that little amount?

I agree! if 20 people bought that single item that is always multiplied by the difference on the price. Even if its only a small amount, that is a lot if 100 people buys that, big or small the price are, we should always be aware and give them a heads up.

The customer service of the shampoo has finally answered! She said that the price of P269.75 has been AGREED UPON them with the establishment. So there was a contract involved in this.Human Nature was not informed of the change of price. That means breach of agreement of the establishment to the company of the shampoo. That is even worse! I am guessing what they will be telling the Human Nature company.. " WE FORGOT TO INFORM YOU OF THE CHANGE" hahaha!!

actually there was once a good cashier who finally gave me the lowest price. It is even better than stay giving the highest price. although we know that they made mistake but at least we are happy with the solution.

The cashiers are not to blame for the discrepancy in the price of the products. However, they can give you the lower price if they, the store, forgot to change the price. After all, you, in good faith want to purchase it because it is a product you want and you know exactly what it is going to cost you. If there is a discrepancy, I would not let it go, I would bring it to the cashier's attention, but if she/he refuses to ring it out with the old, better, price I would ask to speak with the manager. Or you could just not purchase it, which means that the store lost a sale. Companies, usually do pay attention to the consumers' complains. Their way of saying that they are sorry, is they send you ton of coupons toward your next purchase. Alway stand up for your rights.

Sorry if I seemed to indicated that you were blaming the cashier, I guess I was think ahead because I have seen some people really lash out at the cashiers for something that was totally not their fault. I am happy to know that you are not one of those people.

Hi, Iam not blaming the cashier for that mistake. Iam blaming the establishment.:) Actually, I was not even mad when I asked the cashier why there was a discrepancy on the cash register and on the price tag. I did not even make a scandalous scene. I just told the manager whom the cashier called SIR that I was not buying the explanation of forgetting to replace the tag. They did not offer me anything, not even an apology. Who would be happy with that right? Thanks for the reply!:)

That is perfectly fine.:) I did complain to the cashier, but then not complain as in shouted at her, but complained " miss, why are you charging me 271 when the product is 269?" more of asking than lashing. :)

I agree. It only means that the store whom you visited aren't really into what they are doing and lazy. Workers should care about the company where they are working. Doing their job accordingly is already a good help. Making an extra effort is much more accepted and appreciated by the company. I hope when you report you mention the store branch. So that Head Office will determine what branch is lazy in selling. hahahha

I believe that each person or department are responsible for something to look out for, So the cashier's responsible for the punching of the purchases, the guards are responsible for the security and the person responsible for the prices of the items are responsible for updating the change of prices of the items. Its the only thing that they need to look out for, since they do not do security, cashier etc and that other people are doing that already, so they should already be vigilant and keep a keen eye with the changes of the prices. Its their job, why not do good in what they are doing already? right? Usually people are also assigned for particular brand name.. so, its really not an excuse since the person in Pineapple juice are looking for their own product. Someone does that already. A person does not do all the price change in a supermarket. When I go to our local supermarket there are 5 people there taking care of 5 different products. Each person is assigned to a particular product. So, the person taking care of the shampoo is not doing his or her job. The establishment where I got the product is much bigger than our local supermarket so I believe they do have enough staffs to take good care of it. Thanks for the reply! :)

Ive noticed girl that " forgetting to replace" has became a racket now that its more intentional than accident. They did not even apologize to me.I emailed their customer service and I wrote it the day before yesterday, and have not received any reply from them yet until now. if its an honest accident, they should have replied to me already yesterday morning. But until now, I have not received anything yet in my email. Ive reported them to DTI now :) under Price Tag law violation.
