Do i mark myself up??

I submitted an article the other day! A review about a book and the review stream people asked me to grade myself and i modestly marked myself down. Next ting i know the article gets rejected. can anyone enlighten me on why it was rejected?

Marked yourself down as in gave yourself a negative rating? Well I suppose the negative rating might have had a little something to do with it. It's always best to never rank your own work, allow others with fresh eyes to come along and judge what they get out of it. Modesty has its place, just not when trying to sell your work IMHO.

So i should have left it blank! Well i didn't know that, i thought i had to fill in everything and so i even rated myself! There is always a next time!
