What is Your Relationship with...Your Computer???

Years ago I read a book by Dean R Koontz called Midnight. If you've read it you will understand. In the book the people were evolving or devolving...I don't remember the catalyst for the changes that were taking place but the upshot was the devolving people were turning into animals and the book opens with a group of these animals tearing a woman to shreds. Lovely image, eh? Well, the other people on the other hand were connecting more and more to their computers until you could no longer tell where the person ended and the computer began. Now, the reason I tell you this is because I often think of those people attached to their computers when I think of my relationship with my own computer. I am so symbiotic with my computer it's scary. LOL. I don't have much of a real life but my computer coupled with the internet has allowed me to develop a very rich cyber life. Still, the images from that book haunt me so that I have to laugh. I never imagined that I would find myself so completely symbiotic with my computer. It was not that long ago that I was totally computer illiterate. Do you have any images from your past...movies, books, etc...that you find apply in a way to your current life? Do you find yourself using things or doing things you never imagined yourself doing 20-30 years ago? Isn't it amazing?

Do you do maintenance on it? Sounds like you may have a lot of stuff on there that needs cleaned up. I admit computers can be frustrating at times but I don't honestly think I could live without mine anymore. It occupies time that I normally would be doing stuff that I am unable to do anymore and I would go stir crazy without it.
