what the Bible teaches about salvation?

There are many beliefs that teach how one can be saved. every religion/faith has a concept of individual salvation. then, what the Bible teaches about salvation?

debora various religions have given differing explanation to this controversial word salvation. To me the word salvation is derived from the word salvage.
Jesus through his parable gave an excellent explanation. He told what exactly the salvation would be. He explained to his disciples that during 'End Times' Jesus would return with his angels. It would be the time to reap the harvest. His angels would gather grain into the barn and collect and keep aside the weed to burn.
His angels before burning the weeds will again sift to see if any grain is trapped in the weeds. They would salvage that grain so that the righteous do not burn along with chaff. That salvaging would be salvation. Those who are righteous are crying out for salvation because they are trapped along with the sinners. Christ would hear their cries and order his angels to go and save them. This is the true meaning of salvation.

There are lots of teachings about salvation. From the old testament, I think there are so many, but in the new testament its only one. Maybe by GRACE alone...

to follow the instruction of Jesus is salvation. to complete surrender to him is salvation.

salvation means complete surrender to supreme lord. bible teaches to follow instruction of lord and follow as Jesus said that is salvation.
