Healthy? Peanut butter?

Philippines

I was reading along some stuff over the internet and I came across things about peanut butter. Most health buffs might frown about peanut butter. But, newer research suggest peanut butter is actually good and healthy. But, what I read was it is healthy if there is no hydrogenated oils, and yes this includes vegetable oils which are hydrogenated. So, best to get some without hydrogenated oils. Peanut butter is nice because it is a good source of good carbohydrates, good fats, and rich in protein. So, what do you guys actually think?

The healthiest peanut butter is all natural, with no added ingredients, especially hydrogenated oil and sugar. It's a healthy food, but it's very heavy in calories, so it's best not to eat too much of it. For some recipes, it only takes a little bit of peanut butter to give you the taste you want without adding too many calories.

This is true, but for calories how is it heavy in calories? I am using all natural peanut butters with zero salt and other stuff. And per serving is just like 150 calories, and that is like two big tablespoons full?

150 calories in just two tablespoons is a lot. That's why it can contribute to overweight if you eat too much. But in the amounts that we usually use, it's not a problem. Of course, if you're on a diet, than that's an extra 150 calories you don't need.

Well, to be honest, 150 is just a speck. I have been doing nutrition plans for a long time. And It does not really provide a huge problem. I do have peanut butter around 2 table spoons distributed for breakfast and snacks.

Some maybe good some bad, one must always be careful in choosing the foods he eats specially if they are processed foods. Moderation is the key to healthy eating!

True, moderation is actually key. But, in my experience some foods aren't that healthy. Some companies mask what isn't healthy. An example is hydrogenated oils, which are actually a form of trans fat. In any amounts, trans fat is and will never be healthy.

This is actually true. But did you know some foods that we actually eat has zero benefits? Even fruits and vegetables. An example is Eggplant, this vegetable is actually zero nutritious.
