narrowing down to 2: Min Pin vs chiuahuahua

I have a daughter who loves dogs, and I'm thinking of getting her one for her birthday. What do you think is a better dog for a 6 year old girl? A min pin or chiuahuahua? Which is easier to take care of? Is it true that Min Pins are hyper and dirtier than Chiuahuahua? Please help. thanks

Hello incredibleDNA,
I think Miniature Pinschers and Chihuahuas are quite similar breeds when it comes to the level of energy, temperament, ease of training and grooming. Only that the Miniature Pinscher might need a little more exercise than a Chihuahua.
I don't think anybody could say that a Miniature Pinshcer is dirtier 
than a Chihuahua. Dogs are ... dogs, they don't clean themselves like cats do, so any dog is ... dirty

Maybe you should ask your daughter which one she likes more, so she will have the dog she wants.

So that's why she likes Chihuahuas! Of course she likes them, she was probably among Chihuahuas a lot of time and usually children like to do what their favorite relatives do. It will be easy for you to find a puppy for her, I'm sure your uncle will give up on one of her dogs for his niece, won't he?
