I am starting to think I may be addicted to mylot. At first it was only mildy interesting to me. But then, a few comments that were appreciated later, I find myself logging on more and more. Heck, it's on my mind everytime I run an errand, I wonder if someone has commented on my discussion. Or I wonder what color my star will be tomorrow? Anybody else getting pulled in?

Oh dear... was it that obvious? Seriously though, there are some users to whom some of throw a rope in the hope taht they will grab it and we can go along withthem until they find their slot.... then we let them sail on alone. It is sad when they give up but thankfully some keep going long enough to feel that addiction! Now you will keep going to get your smilies at 200 and then who knows... maybe the front page of the top rated users in a few years time too?

It's a good sign it means you have a healthy inquisitive mind, you are full of ideas and being able to stay long hours and concentrated on your pc tells so much of our health, keep it up, it's ok, one thing even better is you get compensated for your efforts, which some sites do not do if you got addicted to them instead, hurah your not alone

Hi Gameslayer, Ya, I got pulled right in when I first joined a couple of years ago. It is addicting to be sure. Sometimes I get a little bored with it or have too much other stuff going on so I take a little break but I always get drawn back in for some reason or other. I love it...what can I say?

Thanks It's nice to know others feel the same way. It's also nice to know you were able to break free, just kidding.

Well, I must admit it is quite addictive, for sure, I can sit and type and read for hours. Now, this is the strange part...although I try to post as much as I can, I don't like to post just for the sake of earning money. I'm a deep person, and only respond when I really truly feel that I can contribute towards the discussion. Now, I can also sit and READ for about a half an hour without answering to a discussion...simply because I found the topics interesting, yet I just don't know what to say.

I too spend lots of time reading the discussions that I have interest in but don't necessarily have anything to put in. Sometimes I just like to hear other peoples views. If I'm not directly contributing I still like to give out +'s to the people who did.

I forgot to add that I don't think you earn by rating, I just think people that are willing to take the time to respond appropriately should be rated.

I know exactly what you mean, I try to log on every little chance I get to see what people in mylot our talking about, unfortunately it's not very often as I like, but I like to sneak in a few times take a peak and try to post something. Just today, I got into one of my discussion and spend my full lunch hour discussing and ranting about that particular topic. You get so involved with the discussion that you sometimes just don't want to log off.

Definately. I like having the chance to interact with the people that have the same interests. Sometimes it's difficult to log out when I have something I need to attend to if there are a lot of people responding.
