Illegal migration in your country

Hi friends.... It may be created in a wrong interest but i think it's a universal issue so i have selected this interest. My countrymen are suffering from illegal migration... mainly the provinces of my country like Assam, Meghalaya and Tripura. All the migrators are Bangladeshi and 99% are muslims. The political administration are doing nothing to prevent them from migration. The defense sector is too poor here and neglected by central high command. It is an open secret that a bangladeshi can use india as their motherland and traffic cows, goats, vegs, rices what ever they want. Now they are threatening the near by indian citizens and extending their empire. The political power easily certify them as an indian if question arises. Reasons political. If you come to some certain places of my province then you will feel that i am not in india... i am in bangladesh. If this migration continues then sure India will be full of Bangladeshi citizens and the world will add an another islamic country as India. So what your suggestion my friends? What happens in your country in case of migration? I have read that in some countries they are either jailed or hanged if caught without proper documents and seemed like migrators. But here you are always welcome..... No matter who are you? We are here to show our hospitality!!!!!!! Please share. P. S. my intention is neither to hurt a muslim nor a pure bangladeshi. I am just trying to focus on a burning question of my country.

In Belgium we also have migration problems. Most people come from East Europe or Africa. They think that it's easier here, but it isn't. There is no place for them here. As I write this many of them spend the night on the street or in shelters. Some citizens help them, but we can't help everybody. It is hard to see homeless children. The government has provided temporary shelter, but most of them travel to England or France. I can't blame those people for coming here. I always wonder: how desperate can one be to leave everything behind? They don't have a home or family or friends here. There are not sure that there is a place they can stay. We always try to improve our lives. Can you blame them to do the same? But you're right: it is a worldwide problem: there is a growing gap between rich and poor.

Hi friend... I have not heard such a problem of Belgium. Here in india and mainly north east india... the migratory people are well scattered and established. I mean they have a well structure home... may be they are poor and their residences are hygienic. But they have, yet there are some street sleepers too. Again, they are occupying some certain areas as their motherland. I have no worries to them all. They try to dominate the natives.. so it's unbearable. I can blame them, yes, i can those Bangladeshies. have a nice day.

The situation is very different and I don't know why they come to India. Here they come to Belgium because they've heard Belgium is a land where you can get rich quickly. The reality is however very different. It's hard to see those people. Most of them have sold their homes and spend a lot of money to come here. Maybe they also are seduced by the promise of a better life?

I think they come to india because they find more opportunities here than there own country. I mean security, satisfaction, job, career and everything... take care.

Imbalance proportion of everything will end no good. Government has the only agency that has capability to resolve this problem with less commotion. I can foresee the blood will shed if not taken things out properly. Ethnics claim each territories... oh no! I hope it wouldn't follow....

All right but here it is a vital issue and more than 20% of residents of my state is belonged to Bangladesh. May not be the correct statistics but approximately it's true. What we can do now? Our govt. has no consciousness regarding it. Have a nice day.

I think your concern is valid it is after all illegal if they enter your country legally then it's a different story I don't belong to any religion so I am not defending any kind of religion many countries find it difficult to block illegal immigrants but at least they do something about it

Illegal immigration has been a huge issue here for a longtime. I think that it has went unchallenged for so long that it has become a much bigger than the government can handle at this point. They just let it go for far too long. There has been attempts at enforcing immigration laws but the truth is that for every punishment or threat handed out, there is a contrasting reward given to illegal immigrants. It's not fair to those that struggle and come through the proper channels.

Hang people if they caught illegal. To severe isn't it? Would they do it in your country. Where the humanity though? In United States, there were millions of illegal Hispanic and Asian illegal immigrants too, but we intended to keep them as the government intention to do so. Some might sent back, or some need to pay large amount of penalty.

Illegal migrants is a big issue in my country particular the place I stay. The illegals come from the neighboring countries. They sneaked in to the country by boat under the cover of darkness during the night when the police patrolling the coasts are deep asleep. The took advantage of the wide coasts to illegally enter the country. The Government has been strict on these illegal immigrants now as they are not only paperless but they create a lot of crimes in my country when they can't find employments. Employers are heavily penalized for employing these illegal immigrants and they have no choice but to steal, rob for survival. Many of them are caught and deported to their country of origin. Deporting them doesn't solve the problems as they will return to the country in the next few days after being deported. Some of them are lucky to get PR status before but now the government departments are fully computerized, getting PR status is no longer easy.

Hi zandi... Yes yes yes... the Bangladeshies also come through those ways. Most of them enter while the darkness is around and our media says that there is no protection to hinder their entrance anymore. So unbelievable regarding the defense sector of a country. Sometimes i feel shameless too. Those immigrants are the treasury of crimes and non social activities. sometimes they carry some handmade arms too and try to invade the natives. Shameless again. I am thinking why our government is no strict regarding this issue. Shameless agagagagagain. have a nice day.

Hello Shibham, Once our organization published articles on this topic but it was on 'forced migration'. I am not sure whether both terms are different or have relations. (I am in hurry and my brain is not working properly now). In Delhi people are working in houses as servant from these countries. I heard that they are migrants but once the government was strict and they again forced to go back their natives. (One of my friends told me that her servant gone because of this reason). My understanding is that, some are coming to get some jobs and those are innocents but on the other hand we can expect terrorists too. It is high time for the government to act against these migrants.

Hi sree.. Nice to meet you here again. I am not so concerned about those status of migration on Delhi, but here the situation is something different. It's totally an illegal entrance and a threaten to indians. I can't bear it. If you come to some places of assam, i shall prove you that you are not in India rather you are in Bangladesh. So what will you like? Anyway. have a nice day.

Hi Sibhie, many the immigrants are lack knowledge about going abroad, like how to fulfill the administration and papers. maybe only part or the paper of administration that they had. that is a problem too in my country. many of Indonesian worker claim as an illegal worker because of this problem.

NO NO NO.... It may be the cause of illiteracy in some certain countries but the migrators to india are well concerned and they are definitely aware what they are about to lose and gain.... I am not so concerned about the problem that your country is suffering. Thanks for the information and hVE a nice time. Take care.

Hi Shibham, That reminds me of a dialogue from the movie - Henna - "Man created boundaries". Unfortunately, the issue of Illegal migration has been prevalent since ages and it is only in the recent times where they have been highlighted... thanks to a few people who think that they can do anything they want - you know and are right in guessing - the terrorists. Yes, you are right when you mention - they are hanged or jailed if they are caught and are without valid documents. This is because the country needs to be secure. Tough many nations are not this type but a few are. India is not one of these and it is the friendly policy of India that has been misused by many nations(sorry, it should be people of these nations instead of nations) around. As a matter of fact, such issues cannot be resolved and there are no guts in the members of parliament or the current set of leaders to curb this because we are playing vote politics all around and it has nothing to do with Nation/National Security. It is not an area/state/province specific issue, the migrants (and Illegal ones too) are all around in our country. Cheers, theSids.
