Do you think that clothes make the man?Have you ever happened to judge someone by looks, but then change your mind about that person? Do you think people are judged on appearances?

Most of the people think that the way we look is not so important for the personality. That's not completely true. We can understand a lot for someone only if we see the way he looks, his/her clothes, his/her hairstyle and so on visible things.
I don't judge people at all for the way they look, for the way they think, for the way they act. But i can imagine what is the life of someone who looks somehow.
For me, may things are important in one man, not only the clothes. If the man has clean and nice clothes - better for him, but it doesn't mean that he is perfect for sure. We need to know the others much better if we want to have personal opinion for them.
Most important in one man, for me, are his manners. If he doesn't have them, he is lost. Whatever clothes he has, even it's something really expensive - doesn't matter. Money doesn't buy intelligence. Second important thing is the attitude. After that it's the behavior, not only the moment reactions, but the way that person express himself. Another important line in the character of one man for me, may be one of the most important, is the man to be ambitious, not lazy guy, who is waiting everything to be done from the people around him.

sometimes people judge someone only from the outside, appearance may be is the best word to get good marks in judgment world hehehhehehe, for me character, how they act with someone who has not same achievement (under maybe), how they able to gather with others, how they speak to each and how they able to keep their promises. is decided who good or bad they are not just from their clothes..

Unfortunately people are far too often judged by their appearance. Hence the saying about First impressions.
Underneath it all we are all human born of the same skin and all bleed the same. I think it is over rated myself but is rather a habit in human perception perhaps.
Appearance can take on may roles, giving a vast array of different impressions. You see someone dressed to the nines and what feelings does that give you? Or if you see someone dressed in over sized clothing that is maybe soiled, ripped or torn, that too can give a totally different impression giving you an instant "feeling" about someone. Be it judging or not, it is the way we individually perceive something that results in how we feel when we encounter such.
Personally, I like to know what is beneath the person and I don't mean the type of skin or body parts but what is in their hearts, as individuals, fellow human beings, regardless of their attire.
I find this discussion funny in a way because it is something I have pondered, looking at people in public. I laugh when I see the younger generation dressed in what I perceive as clothing that is trying to make a statement. Young guys who think they are cool by presenting themselves in gang banger type attire, in attempt to make themselves look like a home boy or something.
Hard to explain because again it is my sense of perception from things I have seen and learned along the way.
Other times I can see someone dressed in simple threads, perhaps those who reside on the street with nothing more but a pair of jeans, runners and a sweatshirt, meanwhile it is minus three out!
Personally, I prefer to dress for comfort but also practicality, depending on what I am doing. Especially for work, I must combine the two. Comfort is first on my list and do not need top of the line designer attire. Although my closets contains such wares, I am most comfortable in sweats and a t-shirt. To work, I usually wear jeans and running shoes with a t-shirt.
When I worked in an office job though I had to wear more formal clothing to suit the job description. Dress pants with blouse and jacket and suitable dress shoes.
Underneath it all, regardless of what I am wearing and by what designers or brands, I am still me. I don't try to make a fashion statement by any means. Regardless, I do not like to judge others by their appearance and commend those, especially employers who don't either but if someone wants to judge people on their appearance, what does that say about themselves?

They certainly do. I don't judge by them but a lots of people do, they judge by how expensive is the clothes, how neat, how new and with fashion...
It is best to wait until they speak, because the cloches are just that - something you can put on and take off.
Hello and have a nice day

Appearances are deceptive goes the old saying. But i feel appearance speaks about the personality of the person. One need not be shabby or too stylish. Proper clothing gives a good impression about the person. I judge people by their behavior and attitude rather than their clothes. Happy mylotting.

I honestly think that people judge others by how they look. People can be extremely superficial sometimes. They see a man in a suit, they immediately think he's rich. They see someone wearing a worn out shirt, they quickly judge the person as poor. Sometimes this can work out against them, though. Famous people know this very well. They wear an unusual get-up a famous person wouldn't wear when they're in public so they won't be noticed by paparazzis roaming around. Be that as it may, it's still a bad attitude to have. I'm trying to cut it whenever I realize that I'm doing because most of the time we're doing it unconsciously. It's like an automatic response or something. I try to catch myself whenever I can so I can right what could be wrong.
