You are right, medical fees is too high for common people especially those who are poor. The fees being high is due to too many people who wanted to get benefit from the medicine and instrument. It is even worst for the private hospital where they will charge you for many things like registration fee, bed room fees, nursing procedure fees, and many more. And most of the time many things are not necessary and they just add it into your medical bills since the common people will not know what are written in the bill and they can't understand what it mean with their specific term.

Medical insurance is for my family a luxury item that I can't afford right now, I do believe that we do need to have medical coverage, my husband is self-employed, therefore it is something that we have to pay out of pocket for all expenses, I have done a lot of looking for medical coverage for our family and the deductibles are outrages, the monthly rate that we would have to pay for a family of 6 is 850.00 dollars a month, that is more than I pay for the rent on our home.
We do not qualify for any government help my husband makes 45.00 to much a month. So like most Americans we go without health insurance. Thankfully I did find a doctor that is really reasonable as far as his rates, it is just a little higher that it would be for a copay.

It is a rising problem everywhere. Our government is trying to make certain implementations but the medical care providers are outsmarting the system. Costs continue to increase and well way too inexpensive for any form of treatment.
Even the no show, fee is rising also.

Yes, medical treatment is very expensive nowadays.
At my place, we are still preferring to visit the private hospitals for treatment because of the good and fast service.
if we are affordable, we don't mind to pay for the extremely expensive medical fees.
In the government hospital, the service has been improved very much nowadays.
For any treatment, we just pay a nominal medical fee because of the subsidization by the Malaysia Government.
In my past experience, the appointment for the special and non-emergency treatment would take about One to Two months.
No matter how, we are still very lucky to get those Free medical service at our country.

In America the people have a high cost of medical treatment so many of them have insurance to cover this. I live in Europe and in my home country we have the National Health Scheme. Visiting a doctor and having a hospital appointment are free. National Health Scheme dentistry is basic and it is pricey to have dental care at a private dentist. Opticians charge for eye tests, glasses and contact lenses. I choose to buy daily disposable contact lenses. When a lady is pregnant she has many midwife appointments and a couple of ultrasound scans. Being pregnant so needing medical care must have lots of costs in America but luckily it is free in my home country.

It is true that today the medical treatment is increasing and not many people can afford it. The hospitals are more like a profitable companies. A patient at home can cause a whole family go broke, sad to say. This is one of the social problems.

It is difficult to get some of these more expensive medical treatments but they are becoming less expensive as the technology is normalized. We are becoming a world of technology though and I think that things will become less expensive as they become more normal is the protocol of medical treatment.

Not so very hard. But things were better before the new health care insurance laws were enforced. Because back then things were cheaper and the insurance included much more kinds and amounts of compensated or discounted treatments.
I had my tooth extracted and the doctor prescribed a few medicines against pain and infection. 200 euros... boom! Crazy! Fortunately my personal liability is nearly finished so any new treatments are to be paid by my health care firm and if things continue like this with my teeth I am pretty sure it's going to be a big fat bill for them frauds.

This is true, medical treatment is soaring high up. And it is becoming harder and harder for the lower class and even the middle class to get good and appropriate medical attention. But, some may get this via - Medical Insurance. But, the thing is now is that medical insurance is also expensive. Hence, I see the quote - "Getting sick is a NO these days". Well, we all know why right?

Who can argue with that. Even hospital employees will have a hard time paying for their medical bills. You may try getting medical insurance to minimize the financial burden if you will be confined but if you think you are healthy and may be exercise and live healthy.

so we'd better not get illed in order not to go to hospital. compared with expensive medical care, exercising plan and good diet plan seem quite economical.

hi in a way I am lucky to be older as I have a great hmo through Secure Horizons evercare plan for p eoplelike me and with medicare most all health expenses are covered and even the ones with copay are very low copay and my medications are covered with just a very low copay.here in the US we who have medicare and social security have some help but young people who do not have white collar jobs are finding it very hard to pay f or decent care. obama's plan has to go through to help those who have no other help.. Oh sure slam me if you must, but do not insult me as I will report. how I feel about Obama is my own opinion and do not forget that.

Hi, Doc
Even the not so common people are complaining about the costly medical treatment.
This is the sad truth about health condition problems, even if we want to live longer but we can not afford to sustain our lives. The disease stricken person sometimes opted not to get medical attention because of the reality that it is too much for his/her family to bear the expenses, and if they do for the meantime, what about the maintenance and other further treatment if needed to?.They would rather spend the money for food than in medications and treatments (especially true for the hand to mouth existing families).
Though, there are foundations and clinics that offers financial or medical treatments for free but not everybody who needs treatment is given such favor.Only the chosen lucky few...
I wish there's more good samaritan especially in the field of medicine.

Yes, I think so. I will feel worry if I or my relatives must be had a medical treatment. We must have much money, if not we maybe can't go to the hospital.
What happens if poor people are sick?

In my country, you cannot entrust anything to the government, and that includes your health care, so I set aside money while I am strong and capable of work, we do not touch it unless it's for medical purposes, my family is also insured just in case. The name of the game here is self reliance, you can't depend on anybody when you are sick not unless you have a rich relative, so it pays to save for the rainy day.
