Recently, my cable and internet went out and stayed that way for 3 days. I was annoyed at first, until I dusted off my DVDs and just started watching movies. I had a blast! I watched movies that I had forgotten I had, and it wasn't bad at all. It actually took me away from my problems for a while. The funny thing is, that I didn't realize that I really enjoyed not having cable or internet until it was fixed. I think sometimes we need to take a brake from things, so we can appreciate other activities that may be fun or enjoyable. what do you think Mylotters?

You are so right. That is why I try to time myself when I'm on the computer so that I can find the time to enjoy watching movies or any other activities. That is why in the morning I will go on the computer for about an hour to go through my emails, play a few games. Then I won't go back on till after dinner or after my TV shows or movies that I rent are over. I feel you have to try to fit in all that you like to do and the only way to do that is making a schedule, and sticking to it.

So true a break is required from time to time. I do spend quite a bit of time online but it is what I have to do for now. But I do a great many multi-tasking whereas I tend to all my household cleaning, cooking and doing laundry simultaneously.
I do not feel enslaved by my computer though as when I have to get up and go I do, and do not fret trying to get back to the computer though.
