It works both ways. The employer and the employee should both be fair and honest. Without these factors you cannot possibly be successful. No one would trust anyone.

I think it's because honesty pretty useful. a person can be intelligent but when he's not honest, he can just keep all his intelligence to himself or he can even use it the wrong way. There's nothing wrong with humor, but if it is a professional scene, then I don't think that humor could be the best policy. Maybe during the down times, but definitely not all the time. I mean what would happen if my employees are just goofing off and having fun all the time because it's my policy, right? I guess if I were an employer, I would choose an honest and intelligent employee.

I will always believe that honesty is the best policy. Life can be so enriched and empowered by this choice. Being honest can take us places that will bring us to our own truth.

For me an Honesty employee best fits every jobs or any life's works. An honest person earns the faith of all the people around him. If you are Intelligent but not honest, it will be more likely for you to lose your job or lose your dignity. Even if you lack intelligence but you have a great honesty, you will always do the best.
I want to share you this story:
A milkman became very wealthy through dishonest means. He had to cross a river daily to reach the city where his customers live. He mixed water of the river generously with the milk that he sold for a good profit.
One day, he went around collecting the dues in order to celebrate the wedding of his son. With the large amount thus collected he purchased plenty of rich clothes and glittering gold ornaments. But while crossing the river, the boat capsized and all his costly purchases were swallowed by the river. The milk vendor was speechless with grief.
Then he heard a voice that came from the river; "Do not weep. What you have lost is only the illicit gains you earned through cheating your customers.
This is one of my favorite stories my grandparents told me. I hope you enjoyed this.

honest employee...because if can trust each other, most things you will have the timely communication, and work together to solve the problem..don't try to guess what is he or she really want to do...what is his purpose... the attitude is the most...intellgence and humor can improve during the work...but the honest is the most important...

Ever wondered a company grows without honesty? No companies will grow without it, especially when it comes to the integrity of the workers. I don't think workers like to be fired when they were not honest. Responsibilities do require honesty, it's all about when you were asked to do certain tasks and the boss wants it to be done, particularly when these tasks come with the deadlines. By the dateline, would you say yes to your boss if you have not completely done your task? If you have not done it and still require a little bit more time, it's better for you to be honest and explain (the day before the deadline would be the best) the valid reason why you have not finished the task and ensure your boss that it will be done by the deadline. See my point? Honesty does apply everywhere, not just work but as individuals we need to be honest as well. Even your boss may not appreciate more time need to complete certain task however your boss appreciate your honesty. You'll gain trust from your boss and you may be promoted to a better job. Just keep in mind that honesty is very important.

Honest employees, if you are honest there is nothing to hide when somebody comes looking for trouble. If the boss is honest he will pass it to the employees, if he's dishonest his employees will steal from his company because he has taught them to. Honesty first, then you will see people's personalities shine, if they don't have to cover up who they are, they can be who they are supposed to be.

It's about integrity. In a company people are working for other people that are not related to them. More often, the employer gets rich with the effort of the people they hardly even know. Employers pay their employees to make their businesses grow and it is necessary that Honesty is a requirement to make sure that all the profit gets where it should be and that's back to the company, the employee on the other hand only gets what been contracted upon. Companies hire people to make their businesses successful and not to make the employers laugh, well if an employees helps the company expand, that's more than enough for an employer to be happy anyway.

hello asliah!
That is actually the motto of my life, honesty is the best policy. I would rather have you tell it to me straight and true and be hurt, than have you saying sweet nothings to me just so i won't be hurt. Actually, i have not think of it that way, why companies prefer to have this kind of policy in their organization. For me, i would choose this one,ion even for a large organization because i believe that honesty is the key to achieving one's company's goal. Just imagine if an organization prefer to have its people as intelligent yet are not honest in their dealings with each other and with the organization itself? or to prefer its people to be humorous yet can't even tell you one straight, frank answer? I think honesty is one of the most, if not the most important value that a man could have.

Well the one advantage of telling the truth is that one doesn't have to remember what one has said. But when it comes to lies, then one has to remember each and every lie so that he doesn't get caught on for later. That's the problem with lies.
When it comes to office and work then each one there plays his or her game where they believe they are controlling it. It becomes hard for sometime for everyone so one doesn't know whos lying and whos telling the truth.
Cheers!

hi asilah,
Honesty is and always remains as the top priorities to any individual or to any employee or an employer. Honesty shows your character and what you are. Yes Intelligence is required to bring your company with flying colors but Intelligence without honesty is like food without water as it will not digest in your stomach and will cause other problems.
I have seen some honest employees with least intelligence surviving in companies for more than 10 years, because honesty is their prime qualification. Any employer looks for people who are honest but not for an intelligent cheater who will be a threat any time to the organization.
As an employer this is what I look for in my people.
Happy Living

according to me i prefer ,honest employee , cuz i think because if their will not be honesty among any of friends or other's their are few chances of clash between them..
honesty always make good friend, who helps us in every movement and and share all his or her felling to us without telling lie............but every intelligent can't be a good friend ........
