What a puzzling question, very deep. I wonder if they are attracted to ear wax; or if they think the cavity is a compartment suitable for them to reside in. Oh, man! Now I'm going to have to go on the net and look it up! I won't be able to think about anything else until I know the answer...thanks a lot, sammy14.

Not so sure why mosquitoes buzz in our ears, but I do know that they can tell what humans are going to taste better than the others. I always get bitten by mosquitoes all the time, while my brother can spend the same amount of time outdoors without any mosquito repellent of any sort-- will never get bitten.

You hear the buzz because their wings are moving the air around them as they fly. The motion of their wings causes vibrations in the air around them, and these vibrations are what cause the buzzing noise.

hi sammy so the info say s it might be because we give off heat from our ears and the mosquitoes seek heat as that shows there is blood close by gut I am not really so sure about that as they have buzzed close to my ears but never in them so they bite my face. thank Goodness there are no mosquitos here in California.

Sound originates from vibration. When you hear a mosquito buzzing in your ear, it doesn't do it intentionally just to irritate you. It is just looking for a dark, safe place to sit. Then it will have it's meal, your blood. Now the mosquitoes can flap their wings (if those tiny gliding blades can be called wings) in an incredible speed. Due to that vibration sound waves are created. You hear a buzzing noise. Mosquitoes only buzz when they are hungry. To prevent them from buzzing around, either kill them, or feed them.

I sometimes meet this problems but I don't know why. Do you know about it? In the first time, I imagine that there is a true mosquito in my ear...
