I've seen it too, I submit my response, then the browser screen just goes white. I've used a second browser to check it been posted, if not refresh the first window and the browser will attempt to re-submit your post. Some of us can't copy an paste yet :(

Hi there!
It happens to me almost everyday and it's really time consuming!I noticed you already reached a rank of 538,I know you are already entitled to copy paste your comment, good for you! As for me,I can't just copy paste it,I really have to re-type it just to post my comment. There was a time,my comment was long enough and when I posted my response,it was not posted because of the net problems,OMG!I just really have to be patient, arrgghh!
See you around!

Hello my friend seems like you are half way there. , keep up the great job, and before you know you will be there also. Reason for the double posting is sometimes related to your ISP speed so it will lag and give you a blank page. , even though you did not see it because of the blank page most times it has gone through.
Maybe save a step and when you are back in go to your started discussion tab and see if it is there is so then that saves you from re-typing it and or double posting.
This may help for a bit. Have a wonderful day.

It usually means that your connection is very slow. That is generally a problem with your ISP (connection between your house and the provider). You can test the speed of your connection here: http://www.speedtest.net/ and if it is less than half what you are supposed to be getting, you should contact your ISP.

I agree, RamRes, that speed isn't the only consideration. Data dropouts are a significant problem with some ISPs and it's somewhat harder to test for and identify these. The Ping rate is one way of checking for these but isn't really indicative because it is checking the response of a particular site rather than your ISP's reliability.

Good day ednareyes,
I thought it was just me. It was happening to me a lot and mylot even sent me some emails telling me I duplicated my response so they cancelled one of them. I don't know what was happening back then, a year ago when you posted this, but it seems to be okay now.
Now it happens only once in awhile so when I am not sure if my response posted or not I always look. I just go to the last page and see if it posted. Most of the time it has but sometimes it didn't so I will retype it then but otherwise I don't retype it till after I make sure.
Cheers and happy mylotting my friend ,
chris

You have received some great responses but wanted to add that if you notice the discussions being duplicated that you immediately go to the report discussion and ask admin to delete. Using the (!) button. Explain in the comment box after reporting that your connection speed is causing duplication.
It is preferable that you report before admin does and or members report.

I don't know for sure--it's only partly you, but could be also your ISP's fault, the fault of others on your ISP's network, the fault of others on your computer's network (if you're on a Local-Area Network), or (totally impossible ... but nothing's too impossible) myLot itself.
There's a free disk-cleaning program and a free disk-organizing program you could use to make sure it's as much 'not you' as possible.

I have experienced the same thing. Sometimes I think that my response hasn't been posted, because I lost my internet connection, and then I post it one more time. Afterwards when I look at the discussion I discover that I have posted the same response twice. Sometimes I post it a second time and there is only one response, so it is hard for me to know what will happen if I post it more than once. To avoid double responses I have started to post the response only once and check "discussions that I have responded to" and see if the discussion is already there or not. If it is not there I post it again.

I'm having the same problem but I'm using my phone browser. My case, though, is when I hit "post response", the browser loads the page again. Then when I hit the button again, it'll take me to the current discussion with my double post. Although sometimes when the page loads back, it doesn't post so I just hit the button 'til the browser takes me to the "tags" page. That's normally the indication that my response had been posted.
